Why the hell didn't Itachi use Susanoo to end it immediately

I realize that Itachi needs Sasuke's eyes, but I'm sure that he could've wiped Sasuke clean off the map from the beginning had he used susanoo with more chakra and everything.

I swear, Kishi just loves to shower Sasuke and his tards with glory.

Itachi could've won this fight easy.

agree sasuke couldnt have done anything but like some people said itachi might have to use tsukiyomi and ameratsu first to then use susanoo. and or what the person on top of me said

I also believe that Itachi had to use Tsukiyomi and Ameratsu to be able to use Susanoo
 
I agree. But maybe he had to do the other 2 attacks first... i know he said something about the attack being born from Ameterasu & Tsukiyami... that could mean he has to use those attacks first... or maybe not. If not then it was probably b/c he hasn't mastered it yet and if he hit Sasuke with that special sword he would not be able to get Sasuke's eyes.....just my guess
 
I'm guessing maybe because it's a powerful attack, and must drain alot of chakra, and also puts great strain on his eyes. I guess it's like his 'trump card'. If all else fails, Susano'o.

He needed to use Tsukiyomi and Ameratsu first. But also because if he had Sasuke would have been killed, and being a main character that can't happen.

Why even ask a question such as this? Saskue is a main character. In fact, he is japan's favorite. He isn't going to die, you should have realized that coming in.

Most of the posts above are right. Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu are preconditions for Susanoo. Thread over.
 
That's true. And Sasuke would have no counter as well. It would be over in like one chapter, which would be kind of boring.
 
just wondering, but can u guys post a page link showing exactly WHERE itachi says tsukiyomi and amaterasu are needed to do susanoo?

other than that, i think itachi just wanted the eyes and to tell sasuke some stuff about madara and w/e, and he was using susanoo as actually his last defense.
 
I agree with many of the posters above. The other two were requirements.. Also, it's not the best idea to start with your strongest move at the begining of the fight without knowing your oponent's true abilities...
 
I am a little on both sides about the outcome had Itachi used Susanoo at the beginning. Sasuke is at full strength, he'd be able to dodge it, and use Kawarimi and whatnot. I am sure it's more than just Sasuke being one-shotted, there is more to it if you think about it. You give him too little credit if you think he would die from that at 100%.
 
could be boost ratings
or he wanted to see how caple sasuke was
or the last one he was to use the other justut frist

I'm almost positive that was an early, jump the gun mistranslation. You're not going to find a new scantalated version stating that.
 
Yea I don't remember reading that either... He said that he gained susanoo on the same day that he got the other two eye techniques.

But from what it looks like, Orochimaru got sucked up into that little bottle that susanoo carried after he got hit with the sword. If he hit Sasuke with that I don't think there would be any way to get his eyes.
 
Yeah, I reread the chapter again (on a different site) and I didn't see the part... Blah, now I'm confused. But, I still think that Itachi didn't use it from the start because one does not use their ultimate jutsus at the very begining. It was smart to sort of test Sasuke out at first.
 
you're an idiot for even making a thread like this.
simple, because the fight would be really boring if he just busted out susanoo at the beginning.
