Okay looks like the fight is somewhat over

I'm not asking did Sasuke win or did he not or was it a tie. What I'm interested in is do you guys think Sasuke has surpassed Itachi?

No doubt Sasuke is strong and almost a perfect shinobi. But after all we've seen I still think Itachi is (was :cry) stronger.

what do you say?
 
well maybe if they had fought with Sasuke didnt have Oro and CS at the time Itchi would have been stronger. But Itchi seems to have been defeated so Sasuke is the stronger one.
 
Ahm...it is obvious that Itachi was stronger in the end.

The MS is just too powerful.

Without Susanno though Itachi would have been dead long before.

Bingo. Nothing in Sasuke's known arsenal can penetrate Susano'o, which means that Itachi would have to physically approach Sasuke (like he did at the end) in order for Sasuke to be within Susano'o and therefore bypass its defenses.

And, of course, with ze magic sword o' Su, there's no NEED for Itachi to approach Sasuke.

Itachi only went down because he'd exhausted himself with MS overuse (1 Tsukuyomi at least [possible second during history genjutsu], 2 Amaterasu's, and one Susano'o).
 
No way is Sasuke stronger than Itachi, Sasuke seemed to be stronger because of Itachi's blindness and Orochimaru's power.
 
I think Itachi was stronger, though Sasuke hasn't reached his limit yet, no matter how many people says he has. Itachi most likely reached his peak long ago

Pretty much. Sasuke wasn't stronger, but due to Itachi wanting Sasuke's eyes and not Sasuke's death, Sasuke managed apparently to force him to use a technique that resulted in his death.
 
Without susano-o, I think that Sasuke and Itachi are equal, but susano-o makes a big difference. Even with preparation, I can't really think of a way Sasuke can counter it unless he creates a completely new jutsu. So Itachi is stronger.

Its already been showed Itachi is quite stronger, but his powers have massive fatal side-effects.
 
itach is still stronger
everything sasuke basically did to him failed
his ultimate technique failed
and itachi was thiiiisssss close to his eyes, just used MS a bit too mch
 
Sasuke technically won... based on Itachi's forfeiture. It will not be a true victory for Sasuke at all, but this, as some other poster has said, is a battle of attrition where both people gave it their all, and Itachi collapsed out of exhaustion while Sasuke is still standing.
 
itachi is still stronger due to susanoo which is the most broken thing to date.
itaachi should have just used susanoo from the start.it practicaly makes him invincible to all attacks.and he has an ultimate attack with the sword.he could have just stabbed sasuke with the sword ,but he didnt.he either wanted the eyes,or he was really good afterall.we'll have to wait for next week chapter to see about that.
 
Itachi is stronger, but Sasuke is more skilled than him in everything on a basic level.

Now that Sasuke's won, if he gets the MS, he's stronger overall.

well you are right about the ms .but the probleme is that he dosent have the ms.at the moment.and he needs it to compete with madara.
 
I thought this was obvious from the ending? Sasuke was the defenseless one while Itachi was the one reaching his hand towards his eye.

That pretty much sums it up. (Not to mention Sasuke couldn't do anything to Susanoo, really.)
 
Sasuke is stronger. He run out of chakra yet he was still standing after Itachi used Susano'o. Plus, Sasuke would've kill Itachi much earlier on if he fought him in CS2 form from the start.
 
Itachi is stronger; all that Oro training and curse seal wasn't enough to make Sasuke surpass Itachi.
