Who is Tobi: Madara or his younger brother?

Consider everything that has been covered so far in part II.

And no stupid half-witted answers.
 
He's definitely Madara.

I supose there's always that possibility he could be his younger broter but it seems very unlikely.


Flashbacks don't lie.
 
I would like to think it is his younger brother, but there is practically no evidence to support that conclusion.
 
The character list on the beginning of volume 41 refers to him as Madara, and so does the cover for chapter 392, so...

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be Madara's brother. But I doubt it. I don't know what purpose a plot twist revealing him as Madara's brother would have, either.

exactly, it wouldn't mean much considering none of the main character know Madara or his brother. They'd be 'oh, well, I'm still going to kill you.'

I would not be suprised if it was his little brother, anything is possible in the Narut-Verse, Kishi tends to suprise people alot, so it realy could be anyone.
 
i believe that its Madaras brother, correct me if im wrong but when did Tobi EXPLICITLY state HE was Madara, i believe that he said he would gain Madaras power with the Bijuu. Also when he showed Pain his sharingan why would he show his regular one as opposed to his EMS if he showed it to prove hes Madara. And its HIGHLY suspicious how we only see Madaras EMS left eye in flashbacks whilst we only see Tobis normal sharingan right eye.
 
It's hard to believe that someone like Tobi is Madara, since he has child-like qualities and keeps reffering to himself as a good boy.
 
I would say Madara, he killed his brother. Unless the one telling flashbacks is madara's brother, and he actually killed madara and went on stealing his Idenity. That would be a monster twist

There is no way it could be his little brother for they told us that madara had taken his brothers eyes and it has clearly shown that tobi does have a sharingan, if they had continued to not show his eyes it could have been the brother

although the whole one eye thing makes me want to believe that its obito, but its doubtful
 
Well i believe he is Madara. Itachi did state the Madara started Akatsuki. Tobi is in Akatsuki. Pein takes commands from him. Any more proof.
There is more evidence that Tobi is Madara than anybody els. Other assumptions are mostly theories.
 
what i think is that madara didn't kill his brother nor he took his two eyes. madara only took one eye from his brother.
that explain why tobi has only one eye.

it is hard to tell. i think that he isn't.
 
I think Tobi and Madara are actually open to the possibility of being two different people. That's probably just me, though. But I think Madara's whole appearance was pretty suspicious. We've seen him wear a hooded robe, which Tobi doesn't have. And also, a lot of people base potential apperance on hair (like the whole Pein = Yondy thing, when we hadn't seen his whole face, just the outline of his hair) and Tobi and Madara have two different hairstyles. Not to mention their speech pattern is pretty different.

Dude....Itachi, an Uchiha, has seen Madara in person, and has seen the EMS with his own two eyes. Madara, the person of legend who first awakened the MS, showed Itachi how to do it. He showed Madara's MS and EMS to Sasuke in genjutsu...then said that Madara is the AL. We've seen Tobi with the sharingan and referred to as Madara...there isn't any reading between the lines on this, it's fact.
