What's "that" jutsu?

Now that the Sasuke v. Itachi fight is drawing to an end, it's safe to say we've seen all of Sasuke's best jutsus.

So this makes me wonder, what was "that" justsu that Oro prevented Sasuke from using on Naruto, Sakura, Sai and Yamato back in the Sai arc?

Yes Kirin was that jutsu. Back when he met Naruto remember the roof was already open. Not to mention that in order to even use kirin he has to cast Katon Gouryuuka No Jutsu(Great Dragon Fire) to heat up the atmosphere and create a current which would produce storm clouds. If you go back and look at when he is about to use "that" jutsu against Naruto you will notice that the hand seals that he uses to cast Great Dragon Fire are the same as when he fights Itachi.

Orochimaru probably didn't want him to use it because he knew that it would blow him, and Kabuto up. Like Sasuke said you woulnd't have time to dodge and Orochimaru was probably thinking the same thing.

It cant be Kirin and heres why.

For one, when sasuke put his hand up in the air he looked as if he was about to slam his hand down on the floor as if he was going to do some kind of summoning jutsu

2.) Sasuke would have made hand seals for the grand dragon jutsu and would have been aiming up into the sky so he could prepare the thunderclouds if "that jutsu" was in fact Kirin. The day was bright and sunny so you guys cant say "there was no need to it was already raining and had thunderclouds" cause unless im blind it was it had more sun out than florida in the summer.

3. Orochimaru stopped his hand just as he was going to use his "that jutsu", and said "hey there no need to use "that jutsu" here" showing that sasuke was indeed about to let off his that jutsu.

So with out taking the preparations needed as seen to perform Kirin we can safely say Kirin wasnt "that jutsu". oR WHAT WOuld have been the point for sasuke to create all those thunderclouds and waste all that valuable time if he could have just used it as is ?!?!? think about it, be smart. Dont let hate cloud your vision.

@saint reginold

can i see a manga panel comparison plz to back up your point ?!?!?!

Maybe it was the great dragon fire then. if he needs the great dragon fire jutsu to use kirin, he would have to use it first right?

i once made the argument it was simply the chidori sparking that he shot out across the ground against itachi (in their illusionary initial fighting), since that fit a lot better with the situation than kirin does. but it probably is kirin

Can't be Kirin. The sky wasn't cloudy.

Sasuke was preparing the jutsu, it was never activated or utilized.

The tiger seal is known for its use in Katon jutsu, but it appears that kirin may very well need the tiger seal for its activation as well to have the proper manipulation.

This is pure speculation. To me it is implied that he put his hand in the air as a sort of notion to the sky.

It is possible that because Sasuke was on elevated group that the necessary requirements in the atmosphere were met, and it is possible that the jutsu Sasuke utilzed to counter Sai's jutsu was a jutsu precuroser to the kirin to meet the prequistes.

They are different locations and circumstances calling for different measures as this a jutsu which essentially requires no chakra, the circumstances may be different. But it appears to be the same Kirin.

Kirin.

He was about to use Gouryuuka Katon, which is required for Kirin on a fine sunny day like it was then. :gar

I still don't think it's Kirin since he thinks he's better than Naruto and his team I think he thought they weren't worthy for Kirin but if it was "that jutsu" then Sasuke was actually afraid of Naruto and his team.

That's another good reason why it probably wasn't Kirin.

Also, I don't think Sasuke would let Oro know about Kirin. Sasuke probably figured he might need it against Oro one day.
