How come Itachi and Sasuke are having a SHARINGAN battle. I know sasuke relies on it and that's basically all he can do but why itachi??? We know he can do more than just the SHARINGAN. Isn't it obvious that 2 SHARINGANS cancel eachother out? If he just used some other smexy stuff like explody clone thingies he would pwn sasuke's ass.

exactly. if that happened, Itachi would get Sasuke's eyes, and if that happened, he'd rape the plot because he'd be a god. the entire Narutoverse combined wouldn't be able to handle him.
 
With how Kishi's been writing, I'm begining to doubt that anything could "pwn sasuke's ass". :/

Anyways... Itachi always relies on genjutsu when beginning a fight. It would mean there's no need for physical strain. The flashy jutsus are deployed only if there's a situation that justifies them, being stuck in Jiraiya's toad stomach, or avoiding *cof*runningfrom*cof* a useless fight against four Konoha ninjas.

With Sasuke was basically the same, teasing genjutsu at first, then uber genjutsu, uber genjutsu fails, then repeat with ninjutsu.

No it wouldnt PWN Sasuke i mean he's the main character no one is PWNing him! But i think the main reason Itachi is thinking this way is the same reason why you dont take ur younger bro or sis serious when their gonna fight you, (if u have any younger siblings) i know i wouldnt just beat my lil bro's ass if we was fighting serious ya know!
 
To me, it shows Itachi's overconfidence in the MS. In his mind, no one but an MS user could beat him. He directly told Sasuke that he would lose since he doesn't have the MS.
Power is often misunderstood and abused, that's exactly what Itachi did with his own. It's part of his personality, as was him fucking around with and testing Sasuke with genjutsu.

Also, these are his signature jutsus and Kishimoto couldn't make this fight go on forever by adding in other things. It's pretty long as is, and that was just showing all 3 of Itachi's MS jutsus.

I really did want to see the exploding bunshin though, specifically when "Itachi" was on the throne stabbed.
 
If you say it like this, would Sasuke be happy? He kills Itachi when Itachi was much weaker than his prime
 
lol Kishi loves Sasuke, what can we do? I'm really disappointed with Itachi, he is so much better than this.
 
Why is it so hard to understand? Itachi is blind. He can't see well enough to fight like that. Genjutsu and MS Jutsu do not reflect overconfidence- they reflect his desire to end the match quickly, as quickly as possible. Tsuyukomi and Amateratsu would have brought him victory almost any other day; it's just unfortunate that it is not this day.

And no, it is not obvious that two Sharingan's cancel each other out. Even if they are both Three-Tomoe, Sasuke would have to have the same level of skill as Itachi- or close enough- to fight evenly with him (this was part of Kakashi's prolem). He tried Genjutsu partly as a test to see how well Sasuke had developed the Eyes, and he saw that Sasuke had done enough to counter his well enough. He had no problem with that- he expected, or hoped for, nothing less. He could not have expected Sasuke to have developed it to the point where he could counter Tsuyukomi, which normally would hasve ended the fight then and there.

If Itachi and Sasuke spen Chapters fighting with all of there other Jutsu other than MS Jutsu, then we would be wondering why does'nt he just bring them out? (I think a lot of people did, wonder why he had'nt use his Mangekou earlier in the match before he pulled off his Tsuyukomi, in the first few chapters). After all, we knew as well as Itachi that they would beat Sasuke. Right?

why are you spelling 'sharingan' as 'sharingon'?

well at the speed which both of them are moving, the sharingan probably makes it easier for them to see each other's movement, without concentrating too hard. for this reason, they can focus their mental energy on strategy and molding their chakra properly for a more effective jutsu.

PLSPLSPLSPLSPLSPLSPLSPLS STOP SAYING SHARINGON OMGZZ :facepalm

Sharingan is natural to Itachi and it's a big advantage, why shouldn't he use it to his advantage. I know what you mean about the lack of variety but Itachi all Itachi wants are those eyes not to mix it up, he wants to get the job done.
 
An Uchiha Battle is suppose to be an all out Battle Of The Sharingans.
It will he retarded if Itachi and Sasuke didn't use their Sharingans the whole fight.
 
Itachi has had alot of confidence in the Mangekyou Sharingan and has relied on it alot, not to mention that the Susanoo was an important factor in keeping him alive against Kirin. Two sharingans will not necessary cancel each other out and they have been seen using shuriken, ninjutsu, etc. THe sharingan also enhances their ability, not to mention that Itachi's fighting style heavily relies on genjutsu amplified by the Sharinagn.
 
I agree also^ if they used ninjutsu or taijutsu I think I would also be confused, they are Uchihas who are know for their Sharingan. Why NOT use it?
 
OP its not sharingon its SHARINGAN ok making clones explode wont work and it will be just a waste of chakra on itachi's part :sun
 
Also the exploding clone bushin technique, was used against Kakashi in Part 1, and obviously failed. Plus it requires water.....
