What level is Naruto On?

Hallo smile-big. I started this thread so that we could discuss what level Naruto is on. I beleive that he is on a High Chunnin level as opposed to Jounin or Kage level that some people are saying. The reason i say this is that he doesnt seem to be able to fight very well on a tactical level, which we know is an important thing to have to be a great ninja. He has mastered some Kage level techniques but lacks seems to lack experience despite the number of battles hes had (he always rushes in (regardless of what hes told)). His repertoire of ninjutsus are VERY low (i may be mistaken) limited to kage bunshin, rasengan and its variations, and a very useless sexy no jutsu :yell. Utterly useless in genjutsu (cant cast them and cant break free of most) and is fairly competent in taijutsu. What are your thoughts ppl.

id say right now hes mid to low jounin.

the moment he gets jiraya's key and more kb training time, im gonna say high to elite jounin.
 
He's definitely jounin level. I don't know why you're saying he lacks tactical ability when he has outsmarted just about every opponent he's faced. His only real weakness seems to be genjutsu and we don't know how vulnerable he is since both times he's been caught in it PTS were illusions cast by Itachi, who is easily the premier genjutsu user in the series.
 
Kage-level. Naruto is between Kakashi's level and Sasuke's level. FRS, once it's completed, will apparently put Naruto on a playing field comparable to Sasuke.
 
I *haff* to disagree with Kage level and Jounin level assumptions, think right now could naruto take on any previous or the current Hokage, Jiraya, ORO and other Kage level opponents (cant compare with the other kages becuz we havnt seen them in action). If the answer is no then he cant be Kage level. I dont believe that he is Jounin level as i can not picture him winning with a one-on-one fight with Zabuza, Diedara, Kisame,Itach (some may be Kage level)i or even Sasuke (sharingan user would render FRS useless due to seeing through the diversion)

You cant picture it because it hasnt happened yet.
 
plz remember that a KN4 Naruto only managed to pique the intrest of Oro, who's own body was beggining to reject him. Also Naruto has only learned *KAGE* level techniques this doenst automatically put him on Kage level

Besides Zabuza, none of those people are jounin level. As for the mist nin, I don't see Naruto having much trouble with him at all.

Exactly.

I couldn't picture Sasuke not getting his ass whooped by Itachi until this fight started, even though I already knew he wasn't going to get beaten down again. Kakashi is already good enough for the Hokage spot, and he admits that Naruto is as strong as him or better.

He can at least ride with a common Akatsuki.
 
Kage Bunshin is Jounin level.

FuutonRasenShuriken is above Kage level.

KN4 is somewhere around Kage level at the very least.

Chuunins and above are not ranked solely by techniques or fighting abilities but also by things like leadership abilities.

In terms of strategy, decision and leadership abilities Naruto is probably genin level or below.

Examples:
-Wanting to blast the rock wall in Orochimaru's lair with a rasengan.
-Chasing Deidara somewhat blindly.
-Getting lost in the ep where he was supposed to lead Konohamaru's trio through that challenge thing.
-Etc, etc.

He's a genin with the fighting abilities of a Jounin if not a Kage.

This is EXACTLY what i am tryin to get at. Your telling me that because a fight hasn't happened you cant visualize to a certain degree how the battle would go? Really?
 
I agree,Naruto is in the moment between Sasuke and Kakashi level.High Jonin in terms of power :ras and of brains,a rookie :zaru
 
He is around Kakashi's level.
The fact that he has mastered High Level Jutsu is proof of that.
He did what Kakashi, Jiraiya and even the 4th could not do: improve the Rasengan.
He effectively uses the Will of Fire.
He has the Kyuubi.
He has the KB Training session.
He has dedication.
 
I think he deserves to be a genin at the moment.

Sure he can fight anyone, and i mean even akatsuki, at least equally now. (Pein, Madara and other retardely broken characters aside) but if he was a team leader then he would get them slaughtered.

So fighting- Kage
Everyting else (including love)- genin.
 
Naruto fights toe to toe with kage level shinobi! maybe chuning level but that dont give all a shinobis strength...

If i compare to any ninja just above sasuke and kakashi but at the same level.
