The Naruto movie Road to Ninja provided an interesting what if scenario where Sakura's father Kizashi was the Fourth Hokage instead of Minato. What do you think it would be like if, after Minato's death, instead of Hiruzen coming out of retirement Kizashi was made the Fifth Hokage? For this scenario, lets assume that Kizashi is powerful enough to be the Hokage.
If Kizashi was the Hokage instead of Hiruzen, I would feel it would make more sense for Naruto to go through his harsh upbringing because Kizashi did not owe anything to Minato and Kushina like Hiruzen did. That is not to say Kizashi would've hated Naruto, but it would not have been his priority as it should've been for Hiruzen since he promised Kushina before she died.
If you look at the Rookie 9, 8 of them had a unique background in that 7 of them belonged to ninja clans and Naruto had the Nine Tails inside of them. Sakura on the other hand was just an ordinary girl with nothing special about her. I feel it would have been interesting if Sakura was the Hokage's daughter because it would have given her own special thing. I feel being the Hokage's daughter would have fueled her sour attitude at the start of the series. Unlike Konohamaru, Sakura would have relished being the Hokage's daughter as it would've made her feel like royalty. It would have made her feel more entitled and made her feel justified in not working harder. She would probably throw her position as the Hokage's child in Ino's face and justify that she is more worthy of Sasuke's love because she is basically a princess.
With Sakura's father as the Hokage, it would provided her an outlet to become stronger when she finally got her motivation before she started her training with Tsunade.
The only thing I am unsure about is the fight with Orochimaru during the Leaf Village Crush Arc. The fight between Hiruzen and Orochimaru was significant because it was battle between master and student, which is not a dynamic that would be present if Kizashi and Orochimaru fought. The only way I think it would work is if Hiruzen was Kizashi's aid like Shizune or Shikamaru so that he and Kizashi would fight Orochimaru together, although I feel that Kizashi needing help from another would just diminish his role as the Hokage. Also, I doubt Kizashi would know the Reaper Death Seal to seal Orochimaru's arms away. If Orochimaru did kill Kizashi, Sakura would've been in a position to better understand Sasuke's pain of actually losing family. It would also be interesting if Sakura sought revenge on Orochimaru the same as Sasuke sought revenge on Itachi and Naruto on Pain later on.
