What can Sharingan Copy?

Theres been debate about how good Sharingan is and it can copy any ninjustu taijustu or wateva. If this is true, and its been established that Rasengan is greater than chidori why hasn't sasuke copied that? Why doesn't kakashi know the fourth's transportation jutsu?
 
just because he can copy it theoretically, doesnt mean its easy.

Normal taijutsu, or ninjutsu with seals seem like they would be a whole hell of a lot easier than learning Rasengan.

Plus Rasengan is more tailored to Naruto's skills. Chidori is more in line with Sasuke's style, and if you notice he developed it to make it more versitile even though it may not have as much raw power as rasengan.

Why copy other people's jutsus when you are more experienced and comfortable using ur own powerful jutsus?
 
Bear in mind that the user of the sharingan must possess the ability to use the said jutsu before actually copying it. Though seeing as Rasengan is mere chakra manipulation, he should be able to do so. At any rate, he probably wouldn't be able to progress the use of Rasengan like Naruto has and thus in its primary form be less effective as Chidori.
 
The Sharingan cant copy the Rasengan.
Hirashin, well, one should be able to copy the jutsu seals, but not the "mark-seal" on the kunai. That would need a little bit more that just the sharingan. And i guess the fourth didnt just give away infos about his jutsu to anyone.

its just a form of chakra control/manipulation

Sasuke could probably learn it to if he was taught how to control his chakra like that
 
Nope cant copy rasengan. Its just chakra manipulation that he could learn on his own by himself if he tried hard enough

Rasengan is classified as a ninjutsu, as ninjutsu is the secrecy and skill techniques of a ninja. Ninjutsu techniques normally require hand seals of some form, but as seen with Rasegan it does not as it is a chakra manipulation. I believe Sasuke could learn to do so without the use of a Sharingan.
 
Sharingan can't copy Bloodline Limits, Clan techniques, Summons or any sort of ability that requires specific traits from its users ie the Multi Form technique that Chouji's clan uses or the insects that Shino's Clan uses.
 
Sharingan can copy most ninjutsus that's done with handseals and probably every taijutsu move (if the body allows it).
 
I always thought that it was able to copy handseals and body movements but not necessarily the exact chakra release which would explain why Sasuke had to learn the Chidori and not just copy it. Also I thought the sharingan couldnt copy S ranked jutsu's but Im not sure on that.

S Ranked jutsu are jutsu that are difficult to perform correctly, if it has handseals then it is possible for one to copy the technique, but it may be difficult for one to do so. Also as for the chakra release, in order to reproduce copied jutsu, the Sharingan user must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them. I believe this pertains to the chakra release. It can not be copied, but it is the necessary skill.
 
I find it funny people say "Sharingan can copy handseals, but not Rasengan".
Why not? Ninjutsu = not handseals. Sure, the handseals are needed as part of the Jutsu but in the end its chakra manipulation thats needed to perform the actual Jutsu. (if it was just handseals then Lee should be able to do it but he obviously can't.)

So basically I think if the Sharingan user has the necessary chakra control then he should be able to copy Rasengan, I seriously don't see why he shouldn't be able to, it has special requirement.

I think Sharingan can copy pretty much anything that doesn't require alterations to their body, special blood, a scroll to be signed or any other physical thing they don't have so long as they have the skill to do the technique.
