Well It Seems...

i think we already knew that?

Not really. Until this chapter we haven't seen a single wound/singe/burn on Itachis arm since it was hit by Sasukes gouryuuka. every other showing of his arm prior has shown his arm being perfectly ok. Now we actually see the damage done.

Itachi's right arm...the one to get hit with Sasuke's Katon....looks completely unscathed in this chapter, 393...when he touches Sasuke's forehead yeah there's a lot of blood, but no burns.

Page 17. Itachis right arm is burnt to hell. Its not merely bruises either, because we can see those on his left in comparison.

Paradoxically, katons only hurt people when you're not trying to hurt them. Was Asuma trying to hurt himself? Sasuke was aiming for the sky and Itachi was in the way.

That Sasukes katon actually managed to hurt Itachi. :zaru

katons are effective when they indirectly hit someone, because sasukes was meant to set up kirin.

same for asuma when he used it against hidan but indirectly hurt himself.
otherwise katons are useless.
