Ur Favorite Trance Song

Trance still remains as the one branch of electroncia i cannot tolerate one bit. Maybe it's becuase ive heard nothing but bad trance, so im up to spinning anything you are willing to share to change my mind

Trance and house are the worst electronica I've heard. And I can't stand most dance. =/

Ditto with moe's sentiment though. Share the love.

One of my favorite techno/acid tracks is Macrocosm - Mike Dred.

I'm too young to have grown up in the acid generation but I was still exposed to similar music at a young age, so I guess nostalgia dictates that I still feel good house/acid/techno.

I despise anything they're passing off as acid/trance in the mainstream scene at least. Anything I've heard with vocals sounds shite and shouldn't even fall under the genre.

I am feeling the need to make a house thread, given that my Techno thread failed, due to the fact that Techno seems to be a little too obscure for most people.

And good house still exists, if you get past the awful Swedish House Mafia garbage and the formulaic Electro House.

Is there even really a mainstream acid scene anymore? Alot of shite electro house tries to take from acid house and acid techno, but I don't think that really qualifies as acid?

But on topic I really only like Classic, Psy and Tech Trance, but the song in trance that i have been most into lately is... Marco V- Dudak

It was the same for me, I don't know what happened but I started to enjoy some of it. I may pimp something, if the OP does not want to, I will see what i have right now.

You're right, I shouldn't have said acid - but I see the odd shitty dance track on TV being categorized as techno or trance. Thing is I can't really judge particularly well myself since I'm not familiar with how techno music has developed - the only stuff I've really heard was the beginnings and then just random tracks in the late 90's, early 00's.

Good trance is hard to come by...

I've been getting into trance music recently, although it is hard enough with hardass critics telling people what not to hear in electronic music. I avoid the pop kind of trance, the anthem/dream/epic kind, since those genres aren't gutsy, moody, & experimental in sounds. Trance music already has that atmosphere that I'm looking for, its now just the mood that needs to be there.

My favorite genres so far are tech trance, psychedelic trance, futurepop (EBM-Synthpop-trance fusion), & breakbeat trance...yet that much isn't enough for others to think that I'm actually interested in trance music as a whole. I don't know, I living on the fringe of many fusion genres, because I'm that kind of person. Along with my taste towards reggae, dub, jungle (drum n bass), jazz, techno, electro-funk/rap, breakbeat, alternative hip hop, turntablism, & trip hop...trance is part of the family...I really must be going nutz...

Any suggestions...?

Sander van Doorn - Supernaturalistic

Sander van Doorn's album has a new album out known as Supernaturalistic. Some of Doorn's tracks in this album have funky breaks edge or inundated with some hip hop beats. Certainly a first in my book, although there is a lack of rapping of course, since it really is tech trance after all. For that reason, this album has become one of my favorite electronic music albums of all time..

I don't know what's up with them hardheaded trance critics, they don't like it because it isn't euphoric or anthemic. Trance really needs a new face to really get things going, since the epic & anthem trance genres have run out of gas. Its about time, don't you peeps agree...?

Note: I'm not posting any links to downloads here, for music department security reasons. If you want a swag, PM me....
