One of (if not the most) influential rappers. While not necessarily the most skillful with his rhyme schemes, he was a very intelligent poet and skillful emcee. He is one of the best story tellers ever.
Big W for posting Do For Love. That's my fav Pac song.

It may have been a radio hit but you can feel the gift of PACs story telling ability. it feels like you are listening to a friend tell you a story and giving you an Aesop to remember from their experience. the story feels so real but it was all a work of fiction.

For me Drake is in top 5 most successful rappers ever. He is not the most skillful, but he is the one with most record sales and influence.

For me MC Hammer is in top 5 most successful rappers ever. He is not the most skillful, but he is the one with most record sales and influence.
Do you hear how wild this sounds if you say it back like this? It's still valid with them too

Semantics huh? Nelly, Vanilla Ice, and MC Hammer all have diamond albums, which even Drake doesn't, was my point smartass
:martin
Lol well, the new rules have made it more difficult for that to be achieved. If CDs and cassette tapes was still necessary to listen to drake he might have gone diamond every release.

You don't think he deserves props for even selling as much as he does? Many rappers wish they can sell as much as him, but cant.

I mean I'm no hater, so even the other njggas i mentioned deserve their props. You just can't put him up there with the GOATs because of it.. Drake qualifies as a GOAT in Pop music, but not Hip Hop

did they have the sales to back up the claim of success? if yes then they are the most successful no matter how we feel. successful artist has everything to do with sales and revenue generation, not skills and lyrics. and if these guys hold the record in sales and revenue, then it's not wild. it's just facts.

drake identifies as a hip hop artist. you guys are being inconsiderate to his feelings and existence. drake has a right to be loved like any other rapper.
if does pop, but identifies as a rapper, you must respect it. or else you will be cancelled for being insensitive.

I mean, he's known for popularizing singing over rap beats but I actually think his rapping is better than his singing.

Any "top 10 drake songs" list isn't gonna have more singing songs than rapping ones

Just some guy
2Pac
Biggie
Kendrick
J Cole
Eminem
Missy Elliott
Mac Dre
Lil Wayne
Noname
Vince Staples

Honestly, if we're talking who I think is the best rapper, I could argue for damn near every member of Dreamville 🤷‍♂️

Honorable mention to Pop Smoke

If they claim to be a rapper but use ghostwriters, sellout, or have mid Hip Hop discogs like Drake then they're banned from GOAT talk is all I'm saying

Definitely a Drake fan

Haters? Bruh I already told you I used to be a Drake fan, and a huge one at that back in 2009 and 2010. He just switched up and basically stopped being a rapper after those years. I just call a spade a spade, and Drake sold out to become a Popstar. It cost him his right to be mentioned in Hip Hop GOAT talks and still be taken seriously. No hate here, I already gave Drake his props as a Pop artist
