Madara said he was looking forward to see how Sasuke develops. He wondered if he would remain a snake, or spread his serpentine scales and become a hawk.

When Orochimaru came was freed from Sasuke, he lost his power to control snakes, and has thus become significantly less snake-like.

The first stage of Madara's Great Expectations for Sasuke are complete

P.S. Sorry about the Great Expectations by Charles Dickens reference, but I just finished reading it in school.

Since the 1000 ninja pileup Sauske has been consistant. It'a a consistent jerk but it is consistant.

And because of one line from Madara and the universe's most bullshit speach ("I'ma hawk something something ur a snake something something :LOS")...

Suddenly Sasuke is going to spontaneously turn into a whole new character?

Go back to his day job like nothing happened?

Make the manga his?

Honestly, of all the dumbass things I've read on this forum I think the Hawks may just about take first prize.

Sasuke does whatever the fuck he wants and now because Itachi stabbed Oro he's a whole new man?

Seriously, what's next? People will think Naruto will change the world because some crazy old frog said something about destruction and revolutions?

Will Sasuke change?

Yes

Is Sasuke's chatacter changing for spurious reasons a cool thing?

Is he redeemed?

Is some vaguely muttered something-something the basis for significant character change?

The answer to all these things is no.

The Naruto Prophesy does say anything about changing his character and I knew Naruto would change the world before then anyway :zaru

I also know Sasuke will eventually return to the flock. That doesn't mean he should fly there on wings of cheese.

Sasuke has supposedly lost his snake powers. That wasn't what soured his karma. With or without them, with or without his Uchiha powers, he has sinned.

The Snake is nature, not power. Or if Snake and Hawk are purely power (Despite being lame) then I may remind you the Kyuubi says the power of the Uchiha is more cursed and evil than he is.

uchihas are linked to birds...if sasuke lost oro, he is already a hawk, he just need to develop his eyes to be like the eyes of a hawk


but since looks like madara is just waiting this fight, and even told pein to get the kyuubi because of that, so the hawk chance will probably be related to sasuke's eyes

What is redemption for Sasuke anyhow? Paying dues at a Buddhist temple? Helping out oppressed villages? Really, it's either he realizes he was wrong for prioritizing revenge over his friendship by himself of Naruto convinces him of this. Either way, his redemption is just through changing himself.

No, but it surely can be foreshadowing of significant character change. "I wonder if you will change" is pretty much that.

Sasuke's karma really isn't all that bad. What is his major problem? Sasuke's theme is about the meaning and importance of friendship. He went against the meaning and importance of friendship, and I think substantial efforts have been made to frame him just having that issue. He's made not to kill anyone, to somehow have planned Orochimaru's downfall from the beginning of his hideout days, Sai was punched for suggesting he was a traitor, Sakura, Naruto and Kakashi only mentioned bonds and happiness before his leaving and in part 2: significant efforts went into focusing Sasuke's issue on bonds. Really, what's the worth in karmic terms?

How any of this contradicts what Barracuda stated or make him a "hawk freak"?.

Who stated that hawk change could only be self-induced?. Itachi's taking out Oro from Sasuke plus a final words could be perfectly set in motion the beginning of the changes that Sasuke will start to suffer in the future.

Even if the "sin can't be just forgeted" it doesn't change the fact is way more factible that Sasuke returns to the good side without Oro inside of his body.

You say Sasuke has been a consistent jerk in part 2.... then wouldn't be way lamer that Naruto change that just as the result of a beating and a few words of Will of Fire?. Wouldn't be better if Sasuke already had doubts or showed some changes before the beginning of his fight against Naruto?.

In any case I doubt "the hawk" thing is something good like WoF. If Madara wants Sasuke becames a "hawk" it can't be good change. Either he was talking about power... or a change of mindset isn't related to morals... (like the way to obtain power, rely more on sharingan or awaken EMS)
