Spirit energy vs logias

Probably depends on if it could hurt intangible beings from their own universe...
 
Ki can certainly affect fire and smoke from what we've seen in Dragonball, and smoke is still matter, same for Sand.

Question should be if Spiritual Energy like Ki, Reiatsu, ect...can affect Logias like Lightning.
 
It's a case by case basis. Things like furyoku and reiatsu that do physical damage, no. If it actually attacks the spirit then yes.
 
If its an actual spirit attack and not newton light that seeps from the body. Of the given examples none of them really apply.

Go to western comics for real spirit attacks like Hellfire or penance. Though I suppose there is always standard black magic which does apply.

Didn't Goku fight Ghosts in Part I of Dragonball? Couldn't he then physically harm people like Ace and Smoker?
 
Shamanistic magic is what you probably mean. I don't think it should affect them unless its target is the psi.
Imagine Danny Phantom.
He probably can't bother Logias with his ecto-freezing, but I'm sure that say that Doctor Strange would see it the other way.

Yep it was thanks to Yusuke's "reki barrier" that Suzaku didn't kill him, and a concentrated amount of it gathered in his fists deflected lightning attacks away.

Roshi's Kamehameha destroyed fire too. So maybe it depends on which logia it is we're talking about. I don't really see smoke being effected by spirit energy, but I do think Lightning and fire are possible.

Ki > Ace.

Ki > Smoker/Croc/Akojii (because Smoke, Sand and Ice are still forms of matter).

Honestly the only person who spirtual energy should be debated on is Enel.

Well spirit energy deflected lightning in yu yu hakusho, but I don't know about Ki or Rietsu since they're a little different.

Escuse me but when was the last time we saw a Zanpakuto cut anything but spirits????:huh

So a Soul Slayer don't attack the spirit?
You need to get futher out on the country with that one, else give a good explination.
 
This has been covered a hundred times, Bleach "spirits" prove themselves to be very physical all the time.
 
What about Rukia's glove or Urahara's cane that can seperate a spirit from its physical body? Those should still work on Logias, and once the spirit is separated they can attack the (now inert) body, couldn't they? I don't think I've ever seen this strategy used before.

True, but it wouldn't work on most of their opponents anyway, since they've already left their bodies. And in Urahara's case it's built into his cane/sword, so he at least always has the necessary equipment at hand.
 
It depends. If it has no other special properties aside from being "spiritual" in nature, then it would affect them like any other kind of energy (if you have enough of it you can completely destroy them/scatter them so they can't reform). If it actually attacks their spirit/soul directly, then their regen won't help.
 
Spiritual energy of the Reiatsu type can, yes, as it's not your physical body but your spiritual one, same goes for the Naruto Death God Jutsu.

Logia's make their physical form intangible, nothing is said anywhere about their spirits becoming intangible as well, that's just One Piece fanboy BS.

Can Susano'o work? Debatable. We have limited information...IF Susano'o has to pierce the target then no, it probably won't. If it just has to TOUCH something then it most likely will. If it hits a spiritual entitry like soul IT WILL work.
 
Most of the time when spirit energy is used it's not really all that much different from Dragonballs ki system. So to be honest I don't see how it would affect logias. I mean it could probably knock a couple holes in them for them to regenerate, but overall I can't see how it would kill them or anything.
 
Logias don't regenerate, the attacks just pass through them. If a Kamehamaha hits them, they will die.

Crocodile and Aokiji have shown signs of regeneration which is why it was brought up.

and if a logia is hit with a kamehameha. How do you know it won't just pass right through them just like everything else?
