Bloodshot Eyes? Itachi's are totally black. :huh He may be really dead. Then I see Sasuke's eyes are also black.

Am I looking too deep into this?

Chances are that Sasuke's eyes are overcast.

As for Itachi's, they're still milky white...or, er, red (if you believe he wasn't blind in the end). You just have to look really closely. It's either that Kishi did a bad job and made the eyes look too dark, or that the cleaners had a rough time getting in there. One or the other.
 
sasuke's eyes are totally black, so yes you are looking to into this

if anything, itachi's eyes are wide open and lifeless, therefore itachi=dead

I guess we'll find out next week. I'm not sure whether I want him to be really dead yet or not. His eyes did look like that before though.
 
Notice that there isn't any heavy breathing signs near Itachi, but there is from Sasuke. I guess he is really dead already and won't need a final blow from Sasuke, which is apt since he died from the power in his eyes, which he wanted to power up even more.

Itachi truly looks helpless and human in this shot, it was a pretty nice touch from Kishi. I wonder what he said to Sasuke at the end.
 
Another small detail, Itachi falls facing the wall and falling to the left from Sasuke. Yet he lies on his back, with his head pointing that wall. Sudden move? lol

Its just poor quality scans, because binktopia cares only about how fast they can be ahead of everyone else, and thus fail in quality.

Their latest bleach scans are even worse, I'd say they don't care about bleach for last four or three weeks - when they released everything in late friday/saturday scans usually were great, now they sux.
 
If you zoom into the pic or have a better scans, it's clear that Itachi's eyes are not bloodshot. If they are, it just means that Orochimaru won't get his hands upon the Sharingan despite a weakened Uchiha being at his disposal.
 
Kishi has worked so hard for this fail fight, his skills are finally slipping, and he wants a break thus the pic you see.
 
I assume it is the quality. It shouldn't have any significance with the actual story or have influence on effectiveness of his sharingan in the future.
 
Just chalk it up to low quality scans. If Kishi really wanted us to notice something, he would have made it much more obvious.

Simple real-world physics that CAN be applied to the Narutoverse:



Itachi fell forward and to the left.

His forehead connected with the wall.

He went to his knees.

Momentum from the fall (forward + left) results in clockwise rotation/spin.

Spins until he's face-up.

Hits the floor, back to the ground.

End result: Itachi falls, hits the wall, and his momentum spins him around and lands him on his back. :nod
