Skrulls (Secret Invasion) v Kyptonians

To make it fair, lets say Post Crisis Kyptonians.
As races, how do they stand up to each other, Skrulls are almost certinly the most powerful race in marvel now (dispite what happened to them in Annihlation, the survivors are insane).

Skrulls win for variety and numbers.

...And ignoring the existence of Celestials...While the Phalanx do have control of Kree space at the moment.

What exactly do you mean by the survivors being insane?

I believe that Rice Ball is saying that their powers are insane.

Oh...Well, that still doesn't make sense when I would consider the power of just one Celestial alone to be insane as overpowered goes.

By the way, your sig makes me want to read that arc and the Eternals again...

The Skrulls in the invasion that we've seen so far are basically the new Super Skrull versions of the Avengers and X-Men. The one in the Illuminati basically had all of their powers, including Black Bolt's voice.

True. But at the same time I can't help but find the Electra reveal incredibly funny. I hope Bendis actually does a good job with this but the Skrulls as the main villains has me more amused rather than coming off menacing.

The way that one died was pretty weak though. Iron Man killed the rest by causing a nuclear explosion, right? Considering all of that, their durability is nowhere near what they'd need to even last a couple seconds against a Kryptonian.

The kryptonians didn't have powers.

They do in yellow sunlight. :LOS

I'm assuming that Rice Ball meant powered Kryptonians, since comparing them to Skrulls in the opposite state is pointless. We'll see a shitload of the former once that new story arc with Braniac hits.

Comparing an entire race of Superman-esque people to the Skrulls would be pointless.

That's not necessarily true. Both races are extremely powerful in different ways. Brute strength is not the solution for everything, and the current Skrulls' undetectable shape-shifting and upgraded abilties make them the ultimate spies. You could topple an enemy organization without any conflict with just one of the new Super Skrulls. In my opinion, Krytonians are the ideal soldiers and Skrulls are the ideal spies.

Except Kyrptonians where a race with advance tech and were highly intelligent. They didn't just have brute strength. The Skrulls have nothing that could kill them. While 1 kryptonian could take on a whole Skrull army.

I agree that that Skrulls would never take the Kryptonians in an actual fight. However, they could cause some damage by infiltrating them and causing internal strife. That being said, I'm not sure if Rice Ball intended this as an actual fight between the two or just a comparison, but my money is on Kal-El's people in either case.

Skrulls are stupid. They're getting wtfpwned in Annihlation, on the brink of extincation and they're busy sending their best to try and topple a Earth that is quite unscathed?

They're morons

Agreed. And if these Skrulls were around before Annihilation ever happened...that makes them look even more stupid when there's a certain something they could have done to save their race from galactic genocide...

Skrulls can copy any animal, plant or mineral, by logical standards, they could become living admantium, assuming no BS plot stands in their way...

I honestly scratched my head after the Super Skrull that Namor was fighting got killed by a jagged piece of concrete.

Under a yellow sun; the Kryptonians win.

Not under a yellow sun, this would depend heavily upon how many 'super skrulls' have been made. So far all we know of are the ones that appeared in Illuminati.
