Sasuke the Bonds had to be Broken

Within the recent weeks I've come to the conclusion that Sasuke had no choice but to break his bonds with Konoha and Naruto:cry. Funny enough its not so that he could go and get super Hax snake powers:oro, Sasuke broke his bonds cause he believe it made him weak. I believe if he didn't break his bonds it would have made him a target. Its very clear that Itachi is far more impatient then Sasuke. Hell he said it point blank i want your eyes for EMS, you don?t have MS yet oh well i'lm going put em in a jar anyway:nuts. What I'm getting at is if Sasuke played the Will of Fire:sarutobi card and stayed in konoha and spent years making stronger and stronger bonds and getting less and less power ups:kkchidori. He would have payed for it

So to the Forums do you guys really think that Itachi :Itachi wouldn't drop in and give Sasuke one of his big brother pep talks i.e. slaughter everyone Sasuke loves if he had stayed in Konoha?

Also don't forget to tell the cold honest truth it's the only way people learnsmile-big

well yeah, he had too, he wasnt strong enough, but it wasnt a bad thing, i mean, all 3 of team 7 got trained by a legendery sannin, so, its gooooooooood:)

yeah man he had to, its not like learning to obtain MS from Kakashi would have helped in his fight against Itachi...thats just crazy talk

I know I would prefer to have to guard my ass every night over obtaining the apex of power for my bloodline...but thats just me. He sure made the right move.

I doubt Itachi would have dropped into Konoha again knowing that there's a new Hokage (last time he dropped in, Konoha was a reck and he knew The Third just died and there was no hokage, that he could drop in with ease). If Sasuke hadnt broken his bonds he might not have been as strong but he would have friends to be there when he needs help.

I don't know, now that?s its clear that Itachi isn't all together there in head (if the brutal murder of his entire clan wasn't enough) I don't think Itachi would sit back and chill as Sasuke lived the good life:laughsmile-big with his world getting darker :madblah blah I can't see anymore:cry everyday

If Sasuke wouldn't have broken his bonds with Konoha, he would still have gotten stronger, but not as strong has he is now.

Same Kakashi after about only 16 years of having Sharingan got MS. Not like he was going to learn it from someone who didn't even have it at the time. And someone who couldn't even advance his own original jutsu as far as Sasuke has in 3 years.

he had a choice, if you believe that then thats your opinion.

staying in konoha could have easily worked out for him.

Well, breaking those bonds was necessary in order for him to accomplish his goal, really.

Wait 'til he's accomplished them before you laud his decision.

He won't accomplish his goals in his current state of affairs. He'll return to Konoha before Itachi and Madara are killed.

Sasuke broke his bonds cause he believe it made him weak.

The bolded is the important part. If Sasuke stayed in Konoha he would have help with MS from Kakashi. Him and Naruto would compete with eachother and he would have gotten SO powerfull. Remember how much stronger him and Naruto got while they trained together? Oooh nooo, it might have taken a little longer to get as powerfull as he is now. But he wouldn't be putting his village at risk, and wouldn't have learned to rely on Orochimaru's powers. He discraced his entire clan by going to Orochimaru and risking the safety of the village. It was the Uchiha's sworn duty to protect the village and keep it safe. But instead of honoring his dead clan, he discraced them and ran off to gain power.

Sasuke breaking his bonds was the worst thing he could do. Look where he is now for the proof! He's out of chakra kneeling infront of Itachi half dead. And guess what?
Spoiler: 392 Spoilers
His main powerup is now DEAD! Itachi just killed the only reason Sasuke could even compete with him! If he stayed with Konoha, at least he'd have some fuckin backup. Good thing Naruto's one persistant kid :amuse.

I do agree with on the point if he stayed in Konoha he would have still gotten stronger:thumbs (just would have taken a hell a lot longer). But my point is that if he had stayed I highly doubt Itachi would have waited while he played BFF with Naruto and the gang. More then likely Itachi would pop in Konoha quiet like and see Sasuke on the Slow train to PowerVille and chop Sakura or Kakashi's head off to make Sasuke pick up the pace

Oh I see what you mean, that's a good point. But I'm fairly sure that wasn't on Sasuke's mind when he left. All he could think about was getting more powerfull, and in his mind cutting his bonds was the quickest way to achive this. He wasn't worried about Naruto, Kakashi or Sakura at all, or at least not from what what I gained from the whole situation.

It seems to me, all Itachi wanted was for Sasuke to get stronger and possibly obtain the MS. He would have a MUCH higher chance of getting MS if he stayed in Konoha. Wether it be from getting pissed and killing Naruto, or learning from Kakashi. Itachi would have waited, just like he waited for Sasuke to train with Oro.

That's the way I see it at least.. But the way I see it hasn't always been right :p (poor Orochimaruuuu:cry)

The only things Sasuke has gained from going to Orochimaru are, a sword, chidori variants, snake summoning. Besides snake summoning which can be substituted for a different summoning contract, there's nothing he learned from Orochimaru that he couldn't have in Konoha.

Add to that that if Sasuke hadn't absorbed Orochimaru then he would be dead right now, it would have taken longer to recover from his fight with Deidara and Itachi would have killed him with Ammy.

Face it, Sasuke didn't gain anything special from going to Orochimaru other than a cold unfeeling personality.

If Sasuke wouldn't have broken his bonds with Konoha, he would still have gotten stronger, but not as strong has he is now.

We don't know that for certain. I agree that he wouldn't have gotten this strong within the two and a half period, but lets be honest. Does the severence of bonds as he says produce greater strength, or does protecting a precious person as Haku, Sarutobi and a lot of other shinobi have stated? Going to Orochimaru appeared to be the best choice at the time seeing as he wanted to kill Itachi quickly. But even that is questionable now that despite the power he gained and despite his last trump card in the form of Orochimaru, Itachi still appears to be having the upper hand. Now that Sasuke is facing the delima of his choices actually being the wrong ones (Will of Hate and Severence of Bonds for Power), what will/can he rely on now? Hopefully we will come to the conclusion within the next chapter...

Sasuke

Sasuke believed that his bonds with his friends, were holding him back, and I guess felt the best way to get stronger, was to break those bonds and train with Oro. I also think he could have gotten just as strong if he would have stayed in Konoha, as he was a talented ninja from the beginning.

To me, his power is awesome now, but tainted at the same time. But, at the end of the day, his actions set things in motion.

Though Sasuke's reasons for leaving weren't all that noble its a very strongpossiblity that if he didnt his friends(bonds) would have been made to suffer later. As far as the power issuse well that we could debate in to ground its pretty clear Sasuke was goona be badass no matter where he trained

I always thought it was more to get rid of the temptation to get MS. He can't kill his friend for MS if he doesn't have any friends.

He could have learned Kirin and the Summoning Technique in the Leaf. Hell, who knows? Maybe Kakashi's method of obtaining the Mangekyō is teachable. All in all, Sasuke still got slapped down by his big brother and now, someone is probably going to have to bail him out. So, it really doesn't matter either way.

Well, Sasuke had his reasons, but I don't think it would have been a mayor difference. I don't doubt for one second that Sasuke would have been strong in Konoha as well. He would just have different techniques, but he would still be strong.

However, I'm not so sure that Itachi would come to Konoha for him. Itachi is a sneaky weasel. Rather, I think Itachi would have found a way to lure Sasuke out of Konoha alone instead, which he kinda did, when he came to Konoha for Naruto.

But really the question is now with what we have seen from Itachi recently could Sasuke really have lived his life in Konoha without repercussions from his crazy brother

i agree that sasuke destroyed those bonds to be stronger, if he would stay in konoha then he would relay on others and he would be weaker

Sasuke left Konoha b/c he felt he was too weak and he didn't trust in his own innate strength to accomplish his goals. So he went to an outside source for more power. He felt that his bonds were a part of what was holding him back also. There are several other factors that played a part in this decision, but that is the crux of it. >_>

No, it was the right thread.

and there is another reason Jiraya trained Naruto, and Tsunade would train Sakura, so Sasuke was the only one who wasnt trained by a sannin so he went to Orochimaru(that is not the reality just the story i thin Kisi wanted)

Yes all in all that was the cause but were not taking about why he left that's way to broad but more on the topic of what would have happen if he stayed
