Sai's brother is...

spartan
itachi. of course this is only a possiblility.

okay heres my reasoning. sai's eyes look like the uchihaa eyes without sharingan, and not every uchihaa has sharingan. the person in the book with no face looks like itachi without a face. sai could have been taken from birth, which would have been shortly before sasuke. because he didnt grow up with the uchihaas, he was never forced to learn fire, so instead he teaches himself the ink thing. since they were seperated when they were younger, sasuke wouldnt remember sai, so there wouldnt be any real reaction from him. plus sai and itachi have the same hair style lol

this is kinda far fetched but its the only lead i got

I thought Sai's brother was actually his best friend? Or maybe I am totally wrong (which I probably am :/ )

I don't think your wrong. But on topic, I don't see Sai being related to the Uchihas at all. It's to farfetched. No one really knows what happened to Sai's brother in the manga, but in the anime, they say he died of a disease. Plus he had white hair in the pics Sai drew.

ur thinking this way too much. and on top of that hes high jounin (anbu) level. i think by than hed have activated one tomae

You're off your rocker.

Sure it's a possibility but I think you have a better chance of living to the age 1000 than this being true.

I thought Sai's brother was Suigetsu. Suigetsu and the drawing of Sai's brother look very alike. The only difference are that Sai's brother has black eyes and has not sharp teeth. Suigetsu did say that Karin experimented on his body. Also, Suigetsu is collecting weapons just like Sai and his brother were doing in the book. Notice how he has Zabuza's sword and is going after Samehada?

suigetsu is probly a better guess, i just came up with the idea while i was watching the new naruto episode. i just thought it would be good if sai came in after sasuke killed itachi and goes 'big brother?"

as far as the tomoe go, hasnt it been stated that only special uchihaa activate the sharingan, if such is the case, sai might not get the sharingan at all. because he's an uchiha doesnt meen he automatically gets sharingan. maybe kishi wanted an uchiha who wasnt overpowered

Hes not after weapons, hes after the swords of the 7 swordsmen.

I agree with you there, I believe Suigetsu is his brother too.

Sai's brother was'nt actually his brother; he was a fellow orphan raised together in ROOT's orphanage. as such, any similarities between him and Itachi are co-incidental, since he's not talking about a Blood Brother (also, we've seen a picture of him, and he looks like Suigetsu, hough I'm pretty certain that's a co-incidence, too).

If Sai is related to the Uchiha's, that has nothing to do with the stuff he's been saying about his brother. His Brother is dead, and Sai says he died from an illness (which is probably code for either "I killed him", or more likely
"I did'nt kill him but someone I knew did", eg. his Sempai).

And yes, it is far-fetched. Kinda.

Yeah...Don't think so.

The Sharingan is activated in Life-or-Death situations. Not everybody will activate it, but but as far as we know everybody can.

Every Uchiha can activate the Sharingan. Even the Women, probably. We've only seen men with it, but Kishi probably is'nt that sexist.

Well, Sai's "brother" was merely a close friend, not an actual blood relative. Also, the mystery placed around his "brother's" death and the mention of Root training like the Mist imply that Sai possibly had to kill his brother and is merely lying to himself to suppress the emotions.

On to Suigetsu, Suigetsu has already been mentioned to have been trained by the 7 Swordsmen and to have already had an older brother, Mangetsu.

Wouldnt Sai have the sharingan if he's actual brother was Itachi? Or did the OP mean non-blood related brother?

That, and didn't the Akatsuki mention that he was one of two brothers?

... Can't remember...
