Thing is they have had Ash as the lead forever and just recently retired them, if they think putting in new characters right after the ending of a character who’s been the lead for who knows how long. I mean shows like Digimon/Beyblade/Yugioh have been doing their gimmick for years now and just one season of that cast than they switched. Pokémon has had Ash/Team Rocket as staple characters of Pokémon to even today. I question if the people who work on Pokemon understand, oh wait Goh. Pretty sure it’s going to sink, I’d like to have them air Pokémon the one we know air next to the new version to compare ratings.
I’m not watching either way but just 😐

Honestly I've always felt that Pokémon battles shine with their 6v6 ones. Spotlight the Pokémon throughout the season in some way and give others great showings as well
It literally was and even showed Bianca and Latias as her. Yes that Latios died.Glad the Latios and Latias ending went well. That last scene location, feels like it’s from the movie

At least Tracey finally got some justice after years of being treated like dirt and his VA finally got to speak, I’m surprised the guy remembered the character since the VA has been absent since AG days.

I expected this kind of ending with Ash and Pikachu basically walking off to the sunset for a new adventure. It makes sense. It's kind of like how the DCAU Justice League Unlimited series ended with the heroes running off to their next mission. Pokemon is kind of like superhero comics, it's always at it's second act, where there is a new adventure next week. (Plus it gives the writers some wiggle room if the new main characters don't take off with the audience.) Here's hoping we see Ash again someday but for now, it's been a good nostalgic trip.
