Orochimaru's return

There is one thing that i want to clarify with the help of everybody. In chapter 392, Orochimaru offers sasuke help to defeat Itachi. We see Sasuke changing into Orochimaru, which makes sense with the story - the idea of oro coming back as orosuke - however, that does not happen and to my surprise Oro comes out of Sasuke's body...WHY?

- Why? he didnt have a REAL body, so Oro was not supposed to come back that way...maybe kishimoto forgot about what he wrote in his own manga?

- Why? maybe kishi made Oro come out just to show off Itachi's greatness, Itachi's ubercool susano...makes sense.

- Why? why didn't Oro just take over sasuke's body? his face was changing...chapter 391 ended with sasuke changing into orochimaru, but then in chapter 392 the story changed completely...what happened between chapter 391 and 392 we will never know, but im sure that it holds the answer to the mistake made and Oro paid the price for it...sad indeed...

To be specific he appeared to have come out of the cursed seal.

ORochimaru's soul and physical body were trapped inside of an alternate dimension.

He was under a threat first. If he tried to take over Sasuke's body, by then Susanoo's jutsu would have defeated Sasuke and therefore Orochimaru's dreams would have been crushed. He needed to defeat the threat at hand in order to obtain Sasuke/Sharingan.

I'm beginning to question Orochimaru's physical limits: he can create a new body to transfer himself into in the midst of battle, but he needs to switch from container to container with the ritual fushi tensei to live forever?

Seems to me that whatever we thought was Orochimaru and saw being run through by Totsuka was not Orochimaru. Whenever Orochimaru adopts a true form, he needs a container (for some reason or other). He had none at that point: the body that climbed from the yamata could not have been real. I cannot believe that Orochimaru just died, unless the unreal form of him was spiritually associated and Totsuka can seal the entire being that way (in that sense, it could seal an enemy by piercing a kage bunshin of them).

I'm not sure what Orochimaru is trying to do at the moment, however. My best guess is that he cast yamata to create a distraction, and that his plan was actually to just leave Sasuke. Makes sense if he's realised that he cannot control Sasuke – even if he could control Sasuke right now against Itachi, it would be pointless if Sasuke could just turn around and take control again once he's recovered.

Or perhaps he was trying to create a distraction, leave Sasuke, and wait for the end of the fight? No point conquering Sasuke if he loses – might as well wait 'til the end and attack whoever wins.

Oro came back to save sasuke's ass cause he is in love with him like many of you. Next chapter will tell more about his future though, but this sword genjutsu crap didn't take him out.

you shoulda prolly put a spoiler on this but anyways
Spoiler:
Orochimaru isnt even mentioned on 391? you have me confused now...Sasuke only goes into Cursed seal mode 2 in 392 Oro starts to take over due to Sasuke not having enough Chakra or strength or something to hold him in. and as for Orochimaru...he just straight up got owned...
props to Itachi on this Chapter...

It is true that it may not actually have been the actual Orochimaru but rather it served as a distraction, but for Itachi not to notice that seems unlikely, though possible due to his current state.

His is ambitous and selfish, yet perhaps he has admiteed that at this time it is impossible to accomplish his goals and therefore flees for now.

Also dont forget a piece of Orochimaru is inside Kabuto too...so this isnt the last of Oro well see...

It's more like since Kabuto used Orochimaru's remains and combined it with himself, Orochimaru's lifeforce is taking over Kabuto.

What is inside Kabuto seems to be his unconscious lifeforce, not his soul. That piece is useless to him if everything else is lost, I imagine.

There's a certain logic to Orochimaru fleeing, at least a little bit. Two containers he really wants are both devastatingly exhausted, and one of them is about to die. He can't quite tell which. Best to be in neither until it's finished.

i think you're wrong, from what i remember, orochimarus' physical body was left behind when he took over sasuke, and his soul was inside the new body, so i dont understand where that other body came from...

why would Orochimaru try to defeat a sharingan user without a sharingan?? makes no sense, what would have made sense was for oro to take over sasuke - since sasuke was weak and out of chakra - and then take on itachi...
