Now that I think about it, I'm not disappointed by what he has done or not done, but how he has done things.
For example, the way he hypes his characters.
Asuma was a jounin of Konoha, and right before his demise, we learn he has a huge bounty and is part of 12 monks or something. After his fight, I could only conclude he was lame. I couldn't even blame Hidan to kill a fodder level ninja like Asuma.
Pein's hype was lame, right before his fight against J-man, you learn he has defeated one of the strongest shinobi of the narutoverse, when during all the manga they never miss an opportunity to tell you konoha's hokages are the strongest. And he has changed his body because he considered the threat as serious.
He almost died and needed to use all his bodies.
Naruto's hype is the most hilarious, "you're stronger than me". Lol there are no strong evidences to prove that statement, it's just a lame way to make you believe Naruto is still on league with strong shinobis.
The "key" is the only thing Kishi could come up with to justify Naruto's future power up. Like hell it helps to have the strongest chakra powerhouse in your body.
Oh well so many flaws in this story, I'll finish with the overexxaggeration of the underdog notion in Naruto, he failed 3 times the Academy exam, yet he's in the same team than shinobis of his age. I could forgive Naruto to be stupid in part 1, but with all the resolve he made before the timeskip, what was shown so far in part 2, he seriously lacks maturity and brain.
Who the hell is this kid chasing someone named Sasuke?
Been a while I could say I enjoy reading this manga cause of all this nonsense, this is why I hate Kishi today.
All I want to know is what the Naruto readers over in Japan are saying about Kishi's work...you guys could sit here and moan and groan all you want but...I'm sure Kishi does not care what people outside of Japan think of his story. Does anyone know what the general Japanese population has/had to say about these recent developments?
I'm pretty sure there are just as many critics over there as there are here, probably even more.
Really getting tired of how criticism is being characterized...Listen, I, and I'm pretty sure most of us here, don't expect Kishi to know nor care about the issues we may have with his series. That's fine, because it doesn't stop us from discussing amongst ourselves what issues we may have with this series. That's the purpose of a forum after all, discussion.
I said nothing about keeping people from complaining...I don't care if they do or not, no skin off my nose. I just want to know if people in Japan are as harsh on Kishi as some people on this board are...because they are the only ones that can motivate Kishi to do a better job...hell maybe even force him to hire a proof reader so that he won't contradict himself as often...
I wouldn't think criticism from Japan would change anything. I mean, look at many American comic book series for example. Alot of the authors of those series only regard their vision of the story, not the fans. This is probably the same in the manga business.
What you also have to consider is corporate meddling and editing staffs. They have direct influence and control. They can convince or force an author to take a direction in a series that the author never initially wanted to, or at all. Look at Kishi's recent interview saying where he was forced to write more of Hebi, even though he didn't want to.
If you really want, there's a very long running critics thread on 2ch (though its not like 2ch represents the real readership of the manga)Thats alright, I don't know either that is why I asked: "Does anyone know what the general Japanese population has/had to say about these recent developments?"

Phil Thompson loves it.
Though, bashing threads over there tend to be very immature and most of the manga have some critics thread devoted to each one. Personally, there are some things I'm disappointed in the manga, and everyone has the right to make criticisms, but ultimately its his manga because its been running so long I doubt any "intervention" will make him change his story or character development or what not, unless its popularity takes a dive for some time.
NARUTO is stupid to think that people's conversations.

Well we each like M.K. to improve on different fronts, I don't know if he just does it out of laziness or outright neglect. Anyway, yeah I agree there's some improvement left to be desired. LOL those crazy 2cher'sI could care less about character development, Kishi's self contradictions is what gets on my nerves. When you said immature you were not kidding I could not even make sense of what "Sage" wrote...and the format is confusing...thanks for the link anyway.
I don't know, I guess I will do some investigating on my own some other time. I understand that Kishi probably will not change his story for anyone, I did not imply that he should...I just want him to do a better job writing the rest of the series.
