Never a female Uchiha

Did you notice that there have never been a female Uchiha?
Not one mentioned. And Itachi said that the eye exchange was practiced among BROTHERS within the clan throughout generations or something like that.

We have:
Madara
His brother
Fugaku
Obito
Shisui
Itachi
Sasuke
All male.

Also the police squad, all male probably too.

Could gender be something in the bloodline limit? Biologically that is not possible as far as i know. But in fiction anything is possible.

Yeah dude! sasuke had a mom and aunts! their clan seemed to have quite a few people!so there had to be women! I still would like to see a female with the sharingan, if only sasuke had a daughter!

There has to have been female Uchihas, I doubt that the clan only produced males, that seems pretty bizarre, but maybe the Sharingan eye is only produced in the males.

I believe the thread starter was trying to state that no female has ever been depicted wielding the Sharingan, which so far is true.

Everyone knows that in Shonen Manga, females cannot have such bad ass powers, they must sit at the sides and gasp and the awesome male characters.

I saw some female Uchiha's dying during Itachi's genjutsu mindrape....

so yeah they are there, although the males definently seem to out number them.

I think what was missed in his statement was that the WOMEN NEVER SEEM TO HAVE THE SAHRINGAN. YEs he had a mom and aunts and what not, BUT none of them are ever mentioned as having the Sharingain. And just cause a women lives in the shinobi village doesn't mean they are shinobi actually their seem to be many Non-shinobi residents.

I feel this is a very interesting point. I would like to know if their are any talented Female Shinobi in the Uchiha clan

Well you can't cause they are all dead!!which makes your comment total blab!!!
the only way one will know if a female can have the sharingan is if sasuke oneday has a daughter!

hmm... ive always wondered about this too. the few female uchihas we have seen dont seem to have been shinobi. mikoto (sasukes' mom) mightve been one that just retired once she started having kids. it would be interesting to see a female uchiha. besides i think itachi said syblings or clan members or some such. he used a generic term when describing the past. seeing how good the females in the naruverse are with genjutsu, they would probably specialize in that. the males seem to be ninjutsu and taijutsu based with a few genjutsu. though a guy can still be a genjutsu specialist.

women lack the muscle mass (im not being sexist, i live in a primarily female household much to my distaste, its a fact) to keep up with there male counterparts in taijutsu. the only taijutsu female specialist we have seen is tenten. but she just throws kunai and is pretty useless.

its cos of their lack of strength (physical) and stamina that they make up with expert control. genjustu seems like an art that would have to use expert control and attention to detail rather than the strength and stamina used by nin and taijutsu.

i guess genjutsu could sort of be like painting a picture. expert control with the brush (chakra) and attention to detail or else its just crap.

Let me spell it out for you: TSU......NA.......DE. o_O she's a medical kunoichi, but she specializes in taijutsu.

Edit: not to mention the current hokage xD

Very biologically possible... What if the gene that codes for the Sharingan blood limit is found on the Y chromosome... which only males have... a very interesting theory... makes sense... no mention of any great Uchiha ninja...

Everyone knows that in Shonen Manga, females cannot have such bad ass powers, they must sit at the sides and gasp and the awesome male characters.

Except Bleach where the one person who is powerful enough to defy the will of God is female.

Mainly the problem in seeing female bloodline users is that with the exception of the Hyuugas, practically every bloodline user were among the last of their clan, therefore limiting the sample size.

Sasuke had the sharingan after his father. I daubt Mikoto would be an Uchiha too. You cannot marry your family members. Same for his aunts. Ordinary women from the village. That's how they reproduce.

It is possible if it was in the Y chromosome but there would be a possibility of them dying out then. Maybe it is a way of protecting the bloodline. That makes sense.

And also, if there was a female Uchiha ever then at least one member should have a different surname after their non-Uchiha father. Nothing about that.

:huh Why not? The customs in the Narutoverse are completely different than in our world. If you have a Kekkei Genkai that isn't a dominant trait, then you would marry a branch family to keep the purity of the Kekkei Genkai. In all likelihood, Mikoto is also an Uchiha and quite possibly one with the Sharingan.

yes i know their all dead. I guess i should have said i would like to know if their ever WERE Talented female shinobi. i would like to see kishi have them talk of one if they ever existed.

Cause kids would be born deffected and weak. It is something known all over the world what happens when people who are too closely related have children, And it is forbidden even in some totally cut off from the rest of the world african tribes.

And I won't believe she was an Uchiha, that would be right. I can agree that Fugaku had a sister or something, but not that he married his own cousin.

Not all kids (I don't even think most) born from incestuous relationships are defective and weak. Many royal families throughout history have done very similar "to keep their blood pure." Also, the Narutoverse doesn't follow genetic laws as strictly as our world. Yes, i*c*st increases the chances of birth defects, but the only birth "defects" shown in the manga are Orochimaru's and Kisame's animal-esque appearances and Kekkei Genkai.

I have always wondered why there was never a time when a female was shown with the sharingan. Perhaps it is a gender biased kekkei genkai. It would be preferable if some more background on this Uchiha clan was shown so that topics such as this could be elaborated upon. Though since it was never specifically stated that only males in the Uchiha clan can obtain the sharingan I guess it is merely a coincidental occurrence.

But the nobles were weak and after some time not able to reproduce anymore within their social class. Villagers were much stronger. And that's also where the 'blue blood' of nobles came from. Because children from such parrents had blue-ish blood, which is a sort of deffect.
Anyhow, putting some real world theories to Kishie's world indeed makes no sense. I dont think he thought of everything. But it really seems unlikely to me that Fugaku married such a close realtive.

Who said it was a close relative? She could simply be a descendant of Madara's brother while Fugaku could be a descendant of Madara. Though they would be related by some common blood, the two families could have developed apart until Mikoto and Fugaku. It is entirely possible for Mikoto to have been several cousins apart from Fugaku and still have the Sharingan.

You know... for some reason a sharingan Mikoto sounds to me just like the 4th being Naruto and Kushina being Kyuubi... But ok, it's more possible than all these know-it's-wrong-from-the-start theories.

It may be that way. The sharingan is in the Y chromosome. As we know for sure, the blood doesn't weaken trough generations when being mixed with other blood, it stays the same. Else, Sasuke and Itachi being the last generation might not be able to get even a normal sharingan already. These genes are dominant. Never heard of Y being dominant on X, but also never heard of a person with a sharingan, so possible, especially that they all look very similar. Sasuke looks a lot like Madara and I dont look anything like my great grand parrents. The genes must be stronger than the usual ones then. That's how they make them all be male.
And really, think about the surname, If there was a woman, then there would be a person with sharingan with other surname than Uchiha.

unless of course Kishie didn't think of that, just drew the manga
you think he studied biology before each chapter to make sure something is possible?

Nesha's absolutely correct. Further, marriages between first cousins or "consanguineous" marriages are very common - even today. Not unheard of in modern Japan. :uwah...hey don't look at me that way! I'm just stating facts here.

A female Uchiha with MS. That would be one wickedly dangerous woman...and that's probably why the men took all those "black widows" out. :LOS

kissing cousins

well you got everyone on that. this is a fake universe that doesn't apply to the normal rules of physiques and genetics.
I mean, these characters are throwing energy balls and healing their wounds. Its awesome. but its also not real.

NOW, you are also right in the idea of the blood purity. It was very common and still is for some families to marry in blood relations to keep purity.
However, The marriage of second cousins is permitted in american. In fact legally you can marry a cousin in most states. The likely hood for genetic disorders is what people are concerned about.

you think kishi, the sexist mangaka is going to give females the sharingan?

That made me wondering... Indeed a shonen manga but with yaoi fluff in it? If he is such a sexist, then why does he make all these sasunaru and sasusai stuff. Boys are most often homophobic, they don't like yaoi, so it's for girls.

So the awful conclusion to the Uchiha thing is- girls aren't bishounens.... Only boys, only bishounens who are a bait for girls.
It's not a tipical shounen manga. Fanarts are usually made by girls, girls are in love with the characters, who are all pretty in some sort of a way, and without the sexy Sasuke and Itachi the manga wouldn't sell so well. Maybe it's all for money...

And guys, pleeease, no sexistic comments like 'cause women are weak and soft. its very simple.'
We're not here to get a war between females and males here. Don't be rude.
