Are you guys satisfied, or dissappointed with the overall improvement of Naruto's fighting skills after the timeskip? Or how about his improvement since the beginning of Part 2 until now?

oh come on?

hasn't naruto matured a little bit.

give him some credit for becoming just a tad bit grown.

and... it's still to early. after all i've seen, it'll be a while til we see naruto again. a looooooooooong while. but he seems different to me. he's not as goofy as he was when he was 12. he's pretty strong. he can probably beat half of the konoha twelve not named sasuke. yet he's a genin. that genin causes damage for real.

naruto is a little improved. dattebayo!( haven't heard it at all really in shipuudden)

He's grown up and gotten stronger, it just takes some time for him to show it.:p

Compared to his Part 1 improvements in a massively short amount of time? His time-skip improvements are pathetic if you can even call them that.

To be fair, we haven't seen him in a fight where he is not either already slighty beat up or to angry to focus clearly yet.

It would suck if all he did during the timeskip was learn to draw out more red chakra, because that would be useless against Sasuke, Itachi and Tobi. While his trump card is either too dangerous to handle, or completely useless, his primary fighting style has absolutely no significant change; especially compared to Sasuke and Sakura's colossal improvement.

If you think about it, throughout all of part 2, he just uses the same tactic he always used: make a bunch of clones and barrage his opponent. The anime shows that this strategy is just as pathetic as ever, since Kakashi, Kabuto, or any one opponent can still beat up a large number of Naruto clones. And if Naruto did improve significantly, this strategy should have been much more effective. Who knows if Naruto is strong enough to defeat any jounin.

It would be nice if he at least had super speed, or learned a batch of summon style techniques.

Naruto will get drastically better sooner or later, that is inevitable. He still has a lot of potential and is the main character of the manga. And he will stop relying on the nine tails so in order to survive learning a new jutsu or two is not out of the question. Bottom line is the Name of this manga is Naruto and like naruto said in his fight with kiba ''there is only one top dog around here, and that's me''!

In what has been shown so far I guess its not as impressive as to when it is compared to Part I, but it also possible he has not showcased all of it thus far. I would say I am some what content with it.
Spoiler:
It appears that Naruto focused alot on the Kyuubi's power with tehe addition of one more rasengan jutsu.

Satisfied that Naruto looks like crap compared to Sasuke and even Sakura in term of improvement. :nod

Naruto's improvement has shown some exceptional progress for the past few years, both physical and mental abilities.
Spoiler:
His newly mastered rasengan and hand-to-hand combat has become quite amazing and his rasengan jutsus are so excellent that their is no flaw to them.

Spoiler:

The addition of the Ōdama Rasengan was certainly nice, though I would have liked to have seen more from him. Especially considering the progression he went through with Kakashi and Tenzō

I wasn't very happy with his improvement :( I know objectively that we haven't seen him improve that much because we have to see him develop and grow stronger towards the end... but it still seems as if the three years were not spent very constructively :(

Spoiler:
As for his improvement right after the timeskip, I wasn't really impressed. He didn't seemed to have changed much. As for since then up until now, I am quite satisfied with his level of improvement, was quite impressed by the amount of hard work he put behind mastering a new rasengan.

Spoiler:
It would be nice if his attacks were more interesting to look at. But in terms of effectiveness in combat and such, I'm actually fairly pleased. Seeing him in action against people like Deidara and Kakuzu showed that at least he is able to go into things with some planning involved. The usage of his clones is nicely done for the most part, when he manages to not let his temper get in the way. In regards to that, I think he has grown as well, the ability to not be pushed into something foolish, unless it is something directly related to Sasuke, like Orochimaru.

I hadn't set high standards for Naruto's growth over those two and a half years so I was satisfied when he performed the Oodama Rasengan and showed other areas of improvement. Soon I became quizical about his growth because it lacked in comparison to Sasuke's. Sure Sasuke's growth was deemed irregular, but Naruto managed to keep up with him every since the manga began. I then realized two things:

a. Jiraiya's focus was more on training Naruto to master the Kyuubi's chakra. With the seal weakened, most of this training was null.

b. It wouldn't make sense to make Naruto the strongest when he plays the role of the underdog. Just watch, by the end of the series Naruto will be recognized as the absolute strongest.

I'm not very impressed.

Same here. I was also disappointed that we didn't see much improvement with Lee, Tenten, or Ino. Chouji didn't get to do anything... Naruto's new skills are mostly derived from the Kyuubi- which I don't count as his power, just like the power Sasuke got from the CS and Orochimaru isn't his...

... I'm pretty... disappointed all-around. For many reasons...

I agree.
Imo, he has improved more then just a bit.
Spoiler:
He mastered the full use of Kage Bunshin, combined with hes toughness, determination, chakra and stamina, witch gives him a great asset during battles and training. He developed a "1 hit=K.O." jutsu that is half way finished. He started to think before rushing into battle, hes trying not to depend on the kyuubi's power and after the "Uchihafest" is over he will improve even further.
