Mangaka Worker Unions

Super late to posting here, and not sure if this is the right place for the thread.

Does anyone know if there exist an mangaka worker union in japan? Like a regular worker union, that's meant to protect mangakas from the working conditions, inhuman schedules and to prevent then from having burnouts or early deaths like Kentaro Miura?

Tried searching it, but couldn't find any worker union specifically for mangakas.

Doubt it exists and if it does, it cant do its job for shit. Then again a lot of japs work like that cuz its part of the culture to kill themselves working pretty much specially older generation.

Also while working conditions are bad indeed, its not like the mangaka are held at gun point to keep working either, a lot of them get obsessed over their own work and when they realize it rheir health is already fucked up.

Being a mangaka is really an unbalanced job.
One mangaka could exist who barely makes the end meet while other one could be multi millionaire.

Difficult to form a union of such people especially with Japan's culture in work life balance.

Makes sense. I wonder what unions in Japan are like anyway. I've often heard of people being overworked there but rarely heard of, say, people literally not being paid enough (a more common problem on the States).
