Yuna
The Legendary Anti-Sakuratard
I am not psychic (that I know of) but I've watched too much TV/read to many mangas/seen too many movies to be easily surprised by fiction.
When I saw Itachi reach out to Sasuke, I immediately knew he was finally going to flick his forehead. But it has been obvious to me for a while now that Itachi would drop dead (or at least seemingly unconscious) once he'd finally beaten Sasuke and it was obvious it was going to happen in this chapter.
And I knew from the beginning that Kishimoto wouldn't get Sasuke beat Itachi or at least not kill him. One side would win and then the battle would end without Sasuke actually winning for real.
While some might think it's epic since it sets up for more mystery (what did Itachi tell Sasuke and why is Sasuke so much in shock from it (he was in shock even before Itachi slumped down)?), I didn't really like it. Just more unanswered questions to add to the pile and quite anti-climactic, especially for such an epic and foreshadowed battle.
A huge battle that ends because one side spontaneously dies? Are we to believe Susanoo did that (based on what Zetsu said)? I doubt the Mangekyou's 3rd Jutsu randomly kills its wielder. We know you couldn't allow Sasuke to become strong enough to defeat Itachi but this was pretty bad, Kishimoto!
I mean, Sasuke didn't even actually beat Itachi! An empty victory.
