How much more, can abused naruto fans take?

I really wonder how much more naruto fans, are willing to/can take.

Naruto came back after the time skip... in chapter 245. It's now chapter 393.

In 148 chapters.. (or roughly 3 years real time).. we have seen.

Before FRS training.

-Naruto + Sakura vs kakashi
-Naruto vs Old Hag
-Naruto + Kakashi vs deidara
-Naruto + sai vs yamato
-Naruto vs Itachi clone
-Naruto vs Orochimaru
-Naruto + team vs Sasuke

After FRS training.

-Naruto vs Kakuzu
-Naruto vs Itachi clone (round 2)
-Naruto vs Madara (still going).


Naruto has had 10 fights to prove himself,
he's had 2.5 years of training with one of the worlds greatest teachers
+ vast amounts of time included in the FRS training. Yet.. there's nothing new to naruto's character..
just the same old stuff, being made bigger and louder.

I mean, i used to be a naruto fan (part 1).. because at least he improved,
and kept his promises. But part 2, he's done peanuts.. and hasn't for filled a single promise.

I mean, why do you like naruto?... to me, all he's good for... is taking a beating/ getting his ass kicked..
followed by crying.. and a big bang boring jutsu. 3 years of waiting... and your left with virtually nothing.

Do you like him, simply because you hate sasuke/Uchiha's?..
Do you like him simply because 'he's the main character?'
Do you like him simply because you empathize with his life?

What do you find appealing about him anymore? He's not even the main focus of kishimoto's attention...

To me, a 'Main character' should be someone you can respect.. whether it's there Strength/Intelligence.. i don't see how anyone can 'respect' naruto part 2.

He had a hard younger life.. and so did sasuke...

But sasuke's morals, and beliefs... are making him succeed far greater then naruto.

So, the moral story of the manga is showing.. Hate, and seeking power, will ultimately get you what you want.

So.. after 3 years of kishimoto abuse.. Naruto fans, see the light... and shift your devotion to a character more worthy of your attention.

Kishimoto has no love for naruto anymore, and neither should you.
 
I love Naruto pre timeskip and while I do like Naruto post timeskip its just not on the same level it used to be on.
 
Merciless, I don't know whether I have to agree with you or not, but people have their own right to choose any character they attract to..

I mean they can't leave Naruto because he seems so useless right now and move to Sasuke?

I like Sasuke because his character more depth than Naruto, but I don't want to push people to like him
 
Some people like interesting characters who go through struggle, growth, and development.

I don't understand, what people find attractive about naruto anymore..

He's skills are poor, intelligence is poor, and now even his morals are being showed as weak.

Whats left to hang onto?.. 100% hope?..

They might like him for another reasons and it is not because of his skills and strength.

It's same like us.. We like Sasuke no matter what people say bad things about him and we also like him without concerning him as a broken character.

Even though Naruto is not attractive and strong like what you said but he has a bit spark that makes people attract to him.

From my opinion, Sasuke has a larger fandom compares to Naruto, so you don't need to show your anger because of the few people who treat Sasuke like a shit.

- Learning about his heritage and the reason for the Kyuubi

- Learning that he can't make Sasuke do whatever he wants

- Jiraiya's death and Pein's pursuit

- Finishing whatever his father planned for him

Those are things Naruto has to go through. It is going to be very interesting to see how he handles it all. How he overcomes all of the things that people don't like his character for. Yes his morals are being challenged, but the manga is not over and that will change. Yes, Naruto is not shown to be as stong as Sasuke, but if and when Kishi wants that to change he will (that is the pattern of htis manga).

So far, what struggle, growth, and development has Sasuke gone through? Nothing. He is the same person he was at the VotE. Only he shows less emotion now then ever (excluding his moment at the bridge and this fight). Really, what is the point of having Sasuke in the manga if he doesn't go through any struggle, any character development? What is the point of having a character if hie morals aren't challenged, if his way of doing things doesnt need adjusting at some point or another? Some people may like it b/c Sasuke looks cool and seem's to be doing great on his path. some people may actually want that to continue for the rest of the manga, but that is just boring.

I think you're kind of stuck in the moment here. Kishi decided to focus on Sasuke for a while. And to have Naruto do through his period of appearing weak while Sasuke is going through his period of appearing strong. When he wants to change things, he will.
 
well. i like him becouse he stayed true to himself. even if he now sucks balls. he didnt change his belives and i know he will not. and well...i still have hope that he is going to kick ass some time lol

he hasn't had a fight yet where he's had the time to show off all his new jutsu.

he came late in the kakuzu fight and showed off one move. itachi clone was nothing special. and i doubt we will get to see a fight with madara.

he's still got alot of potential, and being the "underdog" character i imagine he has plenty of tricks up his sleeve.

Rather i predict we'll see kisame vs suigetsu so we can kill off another akatsuki and get closer to the the end of the akatuski saga.
 
Merciless has a point. I'd love to see Naruto growing and learning and gradually becoming the strongest, as he will probably be. But instead he has stagnated for the majority of part 2, and worryingly, Kishi has thrown in a prophecy and a key to power Naruto up. That's not realistic development. I would be deeply unsatisfied to be a Naruto fan if that were the way Naruto achieved his strength :(
 
In my opinion, i think that naruto has yet to folow the same growth as sasuke. Dont get me wrong, i used to be a big sasuke fan, and i mean real big. Thing is that gradually chnaged and now its naruto (followed by the awesomeness that is kakashi).
yeah so anyway, It all comes down to where kishi wants to take this. Naruto could go abck, tsundae tell naruto of jiraiyas death and heritage, then goes to bad assly train. What wouldnt sound better then naruto appearing to be weak, and sasuke to be strong, when naruto goes to train in seclusion (just theory but chances are high because of what kishi said in interview) and then comes back and is on par, if not infront of sasuke? thats makes narutos morals and his weakness challenged. Along with the fact that he has kept another promise.
Bonds/friendship, they are the main theme of this manga series, everything is revolved around those points. So, does this not challenge narutos will aswell? the fact that his 'first true friend' has left him and has aimed to kill him. Naruto has to change for sasuke to change.

I am worried about the Key, but I think that the prophesy was something added to let us know the direction this manga was going in. It's disappointing that this story is on it's 3rd Rescue Sasuke arc. That should have stopped by now. But there are things that will bring the story away from that soon. Other than that, I don't really have a problem with the way Naruto's character is being handled.

Because in a world where it's perfectly fine to kill people, morals are skewed. You don't live in the Narutoverse and the Narutoverse is not our world, don't judge people by your standards.
 
I'd expect this OP from someone like Pokeman/Jizz trying to convert everyone to sasuketards.

Stop spouting nonsense about which characters to embrace or dislike.

Personally, I have never seen strength as something I like about Naruto. That's to say I like him whether his strong or not. His personality is what I have always liked about him. Naruto is Naruto, some people like the way he is while others don't. It's that simple. I couldn't care less if Naruto is strong or smart. It's his personality that will help him reach that point sooner or later.

Even so, I wouldn't call Naruto stupid. Sure, he's not a genius, but he proved he can be very creative when he needs to. Plus, Naruto has all the potential in the world to reach very far, but his time has not come yet. I mean, he has to develop in strength. He can't face what's ahead of him with Kagebunshin and Rasengan. He has to have more if he is to take on all that, so it will come.

I think that some people are just impatient. There are many trials and challenges that's still ahead of Naruto. It's far from over. Naruto will make a come-back when the story is ready for it. Naruto has always been this way and it won't change. Naruto will have to prove himself, but he has always been the last one to do that. Naruto is number one knuckleheaded ninja for a reason . . . :amuse

There's nothing really to add to this. If I want a character strictly for their combat prowess, then I will go with Sasuke. However, there's more to Naruto, and thus its characters than just fighting capacity. And it is for that reason why Naruto as a character is more interesting than his rival in my opinion...

Yeah,i have noticed that 90% of this forum are Uchihatards who still can't see that Sasuke is a ^ (not the meaning of the word "respect".),so sad for them :(
 
And then Naruto miraculously creams Sasuke again like he did on the roof. I always read a story with the end in mind, and that helps me never forget that Naruto is the main character, destined to school the rest. There is no abuse to Naruto fans. There is just an author making them realize their moment of pride has to come last since it will be better than everyone else's.
 
A main character is not at all always respected. Look at the extremely controversial book The Catcher In The Rye. The main character was Holden Caulfield. He was not respected at all, but by he end of the novel, had gotten his point across so perfectly.

Period.
 
I have to admit, I was frightened too... I tied my own shoes once... it is an overrated experience. But I have always loved Naruto. I will keep my faith in him until the final panel!
 
I think the proper question is how could people like Sasuke as a character? He's all style and no substance. You can hate Naruto's personality all you want, but at least he has one.
 
I would worry if it wasn't for the fact that Sasuke is doing exactly what Madara wanted. His victories are all part of a plan the main bad guy has created and once he has reached Madara's goals his importance to the plot will evaporate. Hell once Itachi is dead so is most of Sasukes connection to the plots.
