This isn't new information... Minato's FTG ( as did Tobirama's) already troubled God tiers in the war arc since this level of Shunshin/Teleportation speeds > Casual God tier speeds. But Boruto being slower at FTG is irrelevant to the other advantages Boruto has in physicals like striking speed and reflexes.Spoiler: Boruto Chapter 4

There is no double standard, only the inability to understand what surpassing means in the context of the younger generation surpassing older generation.
"Naruto surpassed X" statements have never meant that Naruto would beat X, Both Jiraiya and Minato would EASILY defeat Naruto in Pain arc.
Older generation like Minato set the bar for the younger generation, and the younger generation like Naruto and Boruto would have to spend a lot of time playing catch-up.
Anything Boruto did in this chapter Minato would do it easily and better.

No, he doesn't. He gets thrashed, especially given that he can't even run to prep Frog Song (which Pain also now has intel on) like last time, whereas he still lacks the speed to blitz Asura, still lacks the ghost punches to floor Preta, and still lacks the Rasenshuriken to force Human's sacrifice.

It simply is what it is. Boruto takes longer to execute teleportation. Minato would replicate anything Boruto did via Hiraishin this chapter with ease. Yes that includes dodging the Shinju, much to the dismay of NBD powerscalers.

Minato is better than Tobirama because he is faster than him.
Minato is 5-6 moves ahead of Tobirama just as he is ahead of every other character. By the time Tobirama can teleport himself and Hiruzen/Hashirama to where he is, Minato has:
1. deflected juubi's attack
2. set up 4 hirashin markings for the barrier
3. had a little chat with Naruto and Sakura
But people be writing 20 paragraphs about how Tobirama will totally defeat him.
NBD debators can do as many mental gymnastics as they want, they are never beating the King of Speed.
The story stays consistent no matter if it's Part 1 or Gaiden or War Arc or Boruto.
