No he died for his brother Sasuke. Thats why he showed his love by poking Sasuke on the forehead like he did in the past. Itachi was never evil, he was always good. I explained it in my theory, but i dont want to repeat it here (if you want to read it its in the telegram section). Well, he was a good character, out of all the Uchihas, i only liked 3, Mikoto Uchiha, Obito Uchiha, and Itachi Uchiha, since they were the kindest of all the Uchihas.

He was the last hope after the failure that is Pain for some good writing from Kishimoto....
 
I usually hate the Ushiha's but Itachi is a true Uchiha. Great character and powerful, if not the most powerful guy in Narutoverse.

We get to see his crazyness which only deepend the character.

Only one worthy of wasting Orochimaru-sama.

I dont like Itachi, but I must admit that I disagree with the way Kishimoto is treating his villains.
The only interesting villains left are Pein and Zetsu. I hope Kishi doesnt ruin them aswell:cry.

Everything from his nailpolish to Susanoo was badass.

This whole ordeal has made me like him more than ever. And then Kishi takes him away...

How Itachi's last second, alive, was great. Itachi started out bonding with Sasuke, when they would train and he would poke Sasuke in the forehead. Itachi poking Sasuke right before dying was just great. Kishimoto is fucking awesome.
 
Had a feeling something like this would happen. I never bought Itachi's upperhand would make him defeat Sasuke. It was an interesting battle nonetheless. Itachi sure did put up one heck of a fight and displayed jutsu unlike what we have ever seen before.

I'm still waiting for ch 394 to verify he really is dead.... I think I would like to stay in denial for the week.
 
Agreed, he merly collapsed. need further verification to deem him dead. But if he is good Bye Itachi.
