Grizzly Bear vs Siberian Tiger

No prep?

Dam.

Grizzly then seeing as even though the Sib Tiger is incredibly massive, it still relies on hunting/stalking etc..

Grizzly is more built for brawl.

In a straight up fight the Grizzly would probably win. The only way I see a Siberian tiger take down a bear is if it manages to ambush the bear and get a lucky locked neck bite. Tigers are more stealthy 1 hit killers not brawlers. Otherwise a grizzly is way to big.

Cats have an instinctual advantage over bears, this fight however depends on if the beat gets a lucky hit.

Grizzly, if the info on this site is anything to go by:

And like others have said, tigers are stalk and ambush predators, built for speed and leaping ability. Grizzlies spend their time getting buff from digging up roots and tearing shit open. They're just built more solidly than felines, with a load of power (despite looking rather awkward, grizzlies can run you over at 55 km/h, or 35 mph).

there's been known cases where siberian tiger have killed grizzly bear, but i would assume that the bear is ambushed,in a face to face fight the bear has the advantafe since its more than double the tigers weight, though the tiger does have greater leaping power and is definitely more agile. i would say that 2 out of 3 times it will be a win for the grizzly.

Grizzly wins.

Siberian tigers only attack female, young, or hibernating bears which would usually be too weak to defend itself.

Full grown male grizzly bears have been known to kill tigers which were far too ambitious to try attacking it.

A few years back there was a documentary on Animal Planet about a bear eating tiger. It had killed a few full-grown grizzlies, both male and female, with ambushes from behind. The ironic thing is that when they finally tracked it down, it had already been killed in a fight with another bear. I give it to the bear in a face to face fight.

Tiger takes the bears back. No real explanation needed.
How does he win from this?

The Bear would tank anything the Tiger does unless it's to the throat.

Tiger jumps on Bear's back and begins scratching and biting. Bear thrashes till the Tiger is on the ground.

Then it's GG Tiger.

The Tiger almost always goes for the neck bite in all of its fights. Thats how most big cats catch prey. Once it gets a good neck bite it locks on for good.

Like I said the only way a Siberian Tiger could win if its a sufficiently big enough (largest Siberian Tiger found was 13 foot and weighed nearly 1000lbs) and If it ambushed the Grizzly and got a really well placed neck bite.

Well if it's a full grown Grizzly It likely win. if it's a youngster that has just left it's mom it's cats food.

Mountain Lions eat young bears, so Sibirin tigers should be able to take down a bear in most cases that would still be called a jouvanile.

Or mayby Hollywood poisoned the mind in there movies which wouldn't be the first time

CMX said the Tiger would win by jumping on the Grizzly's back.

I was just showing how that wouldn't be so and the only way it would win is by biting the neck.

true, but how about jumping on its back then aim for the neck from there? that could be effective since the bear is sluggish compared to the tiger.
