Gai had to open 6 chakra gates to beat 30% Kisame

ok my apologies if this thread has been done before but as an Anti-Guy Gai (pun intended :amuse) i couldnt help but notice that Gai had to open 6 of the 8 chakra gates to beat a 30% kisame dud :dupe. Although i dont like Gai plz tell me that i have got the facts wrong and that gai isn't as weak as those actions made him seem.
 
First of all: Bad pun :facepalm

Secondly, Gai wasn't really that strong. He is doomed to be a secondary character, meaing he will be weak, no matter how fucking epic badass he is. The stuff about gai being 300 km/h and stuff; yeh, that was just a joke taken too far by serious people...

Gai did beat Kisame with 6 gates. Against Kisame, he would probably die. Though it'd be funny seeing the Kisame FC and the Gai FC going head-to-head

It was not a Mizu Bunshin, nor a Kage Bunshin. It was a Bunshin that had all of Kisames streghts, BUT has 30% of Kisame's chakra(and according to Neji saiyan-scouter/byakugan, it was a huge chakra nonetheless).

To put it in more simple terms, they fought a fake Kisame. that had his full HP, full strenght, full speed, but had only 30% of his MP. Think of it like an RPG battle. This Kisame clone is quite deadly, it just can't do the most flashy jutsus (thatr Kisame suposeddly have).
 
gai was just playing. when he saw his students in danger he ended it quikly. just that

they are both way to awesome for a full out battle. the manga would just implode
 
Gai beat Kisame30% with ease when he opend 6gates,8Gates will kill Kisame and Gai,cause this would mean 1000power increase in Gai s speed and strenght;]
 
If people actually put it in context it shows that Gai is right around Kisame's level. Kisame with more chakra would still be the same amount of fast, same power and all that. He would just have more stamina and bigger attacks. They would still be matched about equally when fighting heads up, it isn't that important that Gai went 6 gates. He had 3 students he had to get out and he had to be quick b/c filler Ten Ten was about to die. I will admit he was in trouble, but if he didn't have to hurry i don't think he necessarily had to go 6 gates.

If you actually compare to what we have seen... Rock Lee opening however many gates looked more impressive than Gai's 6, from when he fought Gaara. If we base it off how Lee looked Gai should have only had to open the same amount as Lee to get a huge increase like that. I am not saying Gai wins for sure, but there is a good chance that 100% Kisame is not much more of a threat than 30%...so he gets more chakra...and Gai would have a couple more gates he could use.... I don't think it was that big of a deal...

I will say Kisame is just barely above Gai
 
Yeah, I could see if Gai used like 2 or 3 gates against 30% Kisame but 6 gate!!!

What I am trying to say is, is that if he were to fight the real 100% Kisame, he would have to open the gate of death to beat him, which would be a double edge sword which means, Lee would go into Necrophilia since he can't let go of that BS.

Or the other option is Sasuke or Itachi(if either of them stop beefing or if Itachi wakes up /not get killed by stab wound by sasuke) come and pwn both of them, or uber trained by frogs key using Naruto comes in and uses PNJ to utter fuck all of them inside the God of Death without him dying and FUCKING Sakura and Hinata in an orgy that night.


Did I mention that I think PNJ is the ULTIMATE FUCKING JUTSU.
 
ontop of everything that has already been said, Gai had to defeat the Kisame clone quickly. They had somewhere else they needed to be.
 
Gai used 6 gates to take out kisame 30% quickly cos the rest of the team were running out of time , i can only assume that he could have done it with less but it would have been a more lengthy battle.
 
Gai is not that great to tell the truth, he is a cool character no lie but for those who think he is the strongest and that, keep dreaming....
 
Those last two gates being opened could increase his power exponentially though. Maybe that's why he didn't use them. Gates 1-6 increase through percentages and 7 and 8 increase by ^10!!!
 
kisame is a bijuu, no surprise gai had to get serious

if kakashi was there he would got caught in that prison again and he would have died
 
The situation that Maito Gai was in required the use of the Hachimon, to the extent of the sixth gate. This was not from lack of skill outside of this level, rather due to the fact that time was quite limited, thus Kisame's defeat needed to occur quickly.

Kisame wasn't fighting on 30% level per say you tard, his chakra was limited somewhat, but he was fighting at the same Taijutsu level of his regular body and really his Ninjutsu wasn't limited either since considering the amount of chakra he possesses he could scarcely run out of it even at 30%. Get your facts right before you post.
 
No, Gai defeated Kisame in one move, and decided to act when he did because he couldnt' afford the time to fool around.

Better than Kakashi who couldn't do shit against a 30% Itachi.
 
Yeah, kakashi did get pwned pretty bad, still didn't show much initiative until part 2 and still would've gotten pwned if not for Naruto.
 
Well, we don't know how much of a power increase all eight opened gates gives a person, so Gai might be a lot stronger than people say.
