That's great news imo.

Hopefully this new season 8 doesn't wreck it's legacy.

Since the original run ended more or less perfectly with that last episode of season 7 - Meanwhile.

Totally agree, they had better get John DiMaggio to reprise his voice acting role of being Bender.

Any other VA replacing him would just be unacceptable imo.

The second concern I have is, I am not sure they gonna past the time loop issues that where brought in up in Meanwhile.

I think that a way that they could work around Meanwhile, is to have the events of Meanwhile being placed into an alternate timeline.

They did this previously for the episodes regarding Fry's dog. So a precedent for this type of thing has been set before.

Remember in Jurassic Bark, where his dog Seymour died during the end of that episode.

That got altered during Benders Big Score, Seymour gets put into a fossilized state by a laser shot from Bender's gun when Bender time travelled back into the past searching for Fry.

I'm looking forward to it. Futurama was a great show. As long as they bust out interesting episodes and bring back John Dimaggio, I'll be happy.

Kinda mixed because Disenchantment blows. And I honestly can't remember many episodes of the revival seasons (especially the last). However, if they make atleast one genius episode like the Late Philip J Fry, then it might all be worth it.


Might be. I mean, asking for even one episode out of twenty to be on level with one of the best episodes of television is kind of asking for a lot.

Them trying to look for a Bender replacement tells me DiMaggio was demanding Simpsons voice actor salary. Hopefully everything works out and he comes back. I'd rather Futurama stay dead, but f they're dead set on reviving its corpse, then they better revive its corpse with the entire crew, together.

Disenchantment is going for continuity storyline so that’s why the comedy factor isn’t really there, if they were do stand alone episodes it’ll be way better.

More details about the whole Bendergate saga:



This article and ones similar to it on the net, basically explain that John DiMaggio didn't get the pay rise that he wanted.

It also shows the sheer greed of soulless corporations like Disney and Hulu that if DiMaggio didn't sign a new contract, they where sign up guest stars to voice Bender if that happened.

As Johnny explains in this video, these episode titles could may be the names for the first 10 episodes of the new revival season.

It was also interesting to hear his speculations on what those 10 new eps could be about, based on those possible titles.

I am UK viewer,we don't have Netfiix over here and I refuse to pay for Disney+ too. You guys got any links on where to watch the new season 8 at?
