Well to me, the best fight in the manga without discussion. It was awesome. We got some of the most powerful & awesome jutsus in the whole manga: Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, Susano-o, Kirin...wow those were awesome jutsus...and I think Itachi went out just fine...dying because of his overuse of his MS, his own power was his down fall...I guess it was fine...
. It also pleased both sides, like Kishi say, because it didn't directly show Sasuke > Itachi. Sasuke escaped Genjutsu/Tsukuyomi because of his heritage, like Deidara say, and to be honest, even as a Sasuke fan, I have to admit Sasuke would have been toast by Itachi's Amaterasu had Itachi not stop it, and even by Susano-o. Which means 2/3 of Itachi's jutsus would have kill Sasuke, which makes Itachi so broken, as powerful as Sasuke is, thats why he had to die. Itachi used 4 MS jutsus, which we can assume is 30% each, considering his clone couldnt use it, which means thats 120% of his chakra, excluding those 2 Katons he used. So my guess is Itachi died after using his life energy, unless an outside source took place, for example ive read a good theory saying Oro's poison could have...but that would suck. Itachi once again looked awesome pwning Oro.
With all that sayed, I hope Kisame is alive but Ive read some theory saying he might have been kill off panel since there is no need for him to outlive Itachi. This really would suck and I hope for Kisame to be alive, but even if he is I know he won't live much longer. Regardless, I think once they both are kill atleast it wasn't necsesary because the opponents were stronger. Which is kinda sucky. Kishi is making all fights like the Sasori fight.
