Elite vs hydralisk

Lawl. Nightmares.
an elite from halo (Zealot Rank) vs a hydralisk from starcraft.

battlefield is a rocky plain, with soem cover, such as protrudeing rocks,etc. no ones bloodlusted. elite has energy sword, and a plasma rifle. who wins?
 
Zealots have massive overshields and have plasma sabers that can easily slice through Grade-A Titanium used in ship bulkheads and armor.

The Zealot takes this 7 out of 10 times.
 
unless the elite gets a stealthy kill and attacks a weak spot, i dont see how he can avoid becoming dinner
a high ranked elite might fair better

Zealot is one of the highest ranks Elites achieve themselves to gain ranks in the Hierarchy of the covenant in Elite's culture they must kill over millions or thousands of enemies to gain their rank I'm pretty sure a Zealot has more than enough experience to slaughter a hydralisk with no problems.
 
Well Elites also tend to become bloodlusted, and then stupid as they just charge and try to beat on their enemies with their fists or sabers.

But they do have prodigous superhuman degrees of strength, at least enough to match a Hydralist easily or equally.
 
hydralisk should win this most of the times depending on how fast it can deplete the shields

Hydralisk spit acid covered spines that rip thru ships like butter

and then there are the claws...

I'm talking about in fluff, friend.

Xanxus@ not really. Elites can easily slice through titantium armor plating with their sabers very easily.

And their muscles have been described as "thick bands of steel" by Master Chief. Hydralisk gets raped in close combat.

And your still forgetting about their overshields and the fact that their plasma weapons can also fuck them up.
 
ok, well since elites are winning this now. how bout 10 hydralisks against 4 elites and 1 hunter? :LOS
 
My memory isn't that great (so I could be wrong) but in First Strike, a Hunter had a Banshee at full speed ram into it and it shrugged it off. It also has ship-grade armor plating on its body and its shield is even more durable.

Hunter makes this very one-sided given the nature of its strength is well above both Elites and Hydralisks and that Fuel Rod Cannon of its has a huge area of effect.
 
Hydras are Ambush killers. In an environment where they can use all the tools available to them they'll come out on top. The only chance the Zealot has if they're in an environment were the Hydra can't burrow.
