Demons were invented primarily to explain how people get sick. Nowadays we know that things like mental illnesses are not caused by demons but by malfunctions of the brain. Therefore demons are as obsolete as gods creating thunderstorms or carrying the earth on their backs.

well this actually boils down two if you believe in God and in my case i dont and so i dont believe in demons.

Not really..no..you're pretty wrong there. The idea of demons predates the Abraham religions. I'm sure there are plenty of people from religions who don't believe in that God who believe in demons.
 
It's sad how people believe in those kind of things in a world with so much of amazing things around us. You are a disgrace to our kind, an hero tiem.

I agree with keeping an open mind. However, show me one scrap of concrete evidence that supports 'demons' existing outside of fantasyland, and we'll talk.

I am a muslim and in islam we have diffrent beings, one being humans, other angels, third Djinn wich can be somehow called demons im not sure if they look like what people say today, but they are mentioned in Islam, and Satan is from the Djin not angle.
 
That depends on your definition of the word "demon".

I prefer to think that there ARE supernatural beings / forces that exist in this world, its just that the majority of us are completely and permanently unaware of these things.

With that mind, i think there could be diff views on the word demon. To the christian / western worlds, demon pretty much means a bat winged, flame breathing, woman raping monstrosity that would sooner tear you to pieces then say hello. Like this guy..

Other cultures view demons not so much as unholy servants of evil, but more as a part of the natural (supernatural) order of the world. Some bits of this as described in Wiki :
