Cloud Strife Vs Dante Sparda

1-Dante.
He just mocks people so much.
Cloud, on the other hand, is too much emo for me.

2-Dante.
He fights against demon women.
Cloud fights against bishie guys...

3-Do we include everything that they have shown?
I'd say Dante, then, since he could stop time, IIRC.

1) Cloud.
I grew up with Cloud. He's a pretty complex character wheras Dante is pretty straightforward.

2) Cloud.
The Sephiroth fight (In Advent Children), in all of it's eight-minute glory, was amazing. None of the DMC games have had a fight that awesome. Then again, I haven't played DMC4.

3) If you give Cloud all of his original FFVII abilities (Including Knights of the Round, Time, and Barrier materia,) I'm sure he would win. If It's Advent Children Cloud, Dante would murder him.

1) Cloud. I Played FF7 when I was younger and actually liked video games. Hence, one could call it nostalgia or something else of the sort but Cloud simply fits into my time-stream of gaming caring. Also, whereas Dante is just annoying, Cloud has multiple dimensions.
2) Cloud
3) Cloud. If they have everything possible Cloud effortlessly massacres him. if they are limited to just their swords Cloud wins once again. Truth be told, it would take some rather creative restriction for Cloud to make it fair.

the fact that even advent children cloud can stand up to that sort of attack i would say that cloud still wins

i do believe that sephiroth in advent children was doing skyscraper chopping and cloud still managed to survive. besides it's cloud at his prime that i thought would beat dante.

The way he taunts his rivals' just too awesome to ignore.

2.Dante
Cloud's fights involve him losing it and going into hibernation-emo-/wrists mode whilst Dante couldn't give a slight fuck against whoever he's fighting.

3.Dante
You be the judge since the answer's pretty obvious after you've played all of the DMC games,played FFVII and watched AC.
 
That's not a simple skyscraper. That's not only a demon gate, it looks like a THICK slab of metal as well...
 
Dante also blocked a punch from the Savior while he was on the ground. That thing weighs thousands of tons at the very least.

Cloud, Dante never loses(except against Vergil) or gets seriously hurt due to regen.
Dante, broken regen + massive arsenal + time stop + DT + slicing bullets and canceling bullets with BULLETS = dead Cloud
 
I've played Final Fantasy VII and Watched the movie.

I've played all the DMC games.



I have to say, Cloud takes this one, his hair itself defies gravity.
 
Dante would fricken own Cloud. DANTE KICKED THE DEMON EMPERORS ASS. NOT TO MENTION THE SAVIOR FROM DMC4. As much as I think Cloud's a badass, he's no match for Dante.
 
Dante for all three... even though I stopped being sort of a dante fanboy after 2009.

if i recall, when in the crystal tree forest, or what ever it was, cloud deflecteed some bullets shot at him. plus during the motor cycle fight with yazoo and loz, he proved to have quicker reflexes then bullet timing. mind you, i don't know much about dante, but from what i do know, cloud would win this.
and quick question, how many versions of omnislash are there?

You shouldn't be so quick to judge the outcome without knowing BOTH sides.

Anyways, Dante got hypersonic reflexes, starting at 1:47
