Bringing any Espada to Karakura town would be overkill

Remember, all the big dogs of Soul Society have seen Aizen's Shikai. SO when Yamamoto and Sunsui and everyone arrive, they'll see Karakura bustling along, as if nothing is wrong. Aizen can just throw up an illusion like that, and how can they even fight them? They can't even see them.

Ditto Urahara and Yoruichi. And Isshin. And possibly some of the Vaizards.

SO basically, the only people who stand in the defense of Karakura is... the kids at Urahara Shoten, the guy who works there (Unless he's Urahara's former VC), Ryuuken, a bunch of seated officers, fodder Shinigami, Ikkaku, Keigo, Tatsuki, and their classmate, some of the Vaizards, and... that's it.

Ryuuken, Ikakku, and a few of the Vaizards are the only people possibly on par with the three renegade captains. And when you consider they're probably Vaizards at this point, there's really no contest.

Assuming Aizen is going out to destroy Karakura now, instead of just making that illusion in front of Orihime, he's more than capable of it.
 
Aizen probobly doesn't know about the Vaizard, Ryuuken, or Isshin. And there are still 9 captain level fighters to fight against them.

How? Urahara was captain while Aizen was. He's seen Aizen's Shikai. How is he going to fight Aizen when he's invisible, and all the people he's killing aren't dying, but are going about their routine? How is going to kill Aizen when there's no indication Aizen's even there?

Assuming the Vaizard aren't working with him like I think... the only captain level fighters not capable of being put under Complete Hypnosis are Ryuuken, Ikkaku, Ichigo, and maybe a Vaizard or Two. And that's just "Captain Level". Aizen and the renegades are above Captain level, as they are almost certainly Vaizard by now. Karakura doesn't stand a chance.

Well he is the guy who worked out how to do the things aizen wanted to do but couldn't, and he does know what aizens been planning, that he was behind the soul society events and so on. Its not implausible to believe he may have worked something out (the whole analysing and countering a technique thing could come into play again). Yoruichi and Isshin are both probably free from its influence, as is Ryuuken and likely the vaizard are too (if of course they aren't on his side).

I'd disagree with your belief that Aizen and co are already vaizard as well, given the fact that Aizen still seems to have plans with the hougyoku and awakening it fully I think he'll wait untill then to use it on himself.

They have to see Aizen for the hypnosis to start so if they are not fighting where near where Aizen is then the hypnosis won't work.
 
Yoruichi, Urahara, Isshin and Ryuuken at least haven't seen Aizen's Shikai and so aren't automatically under its influence.

Then there's the Vaizards.
 
How does kyoka suigetsu work exactly? Like does it only inflict hypnosis upon callout or can it hypnotise in battle as well or any time that aizen wants?
 
Does it really matter if they're not under Kyoka Suigetsu? This is Aizen here, the guy that made an Espada (A Shinigami-Hollow Hybrid) capable of fighting equally with VAIZARD Bankai Ichigo (Another Captain Level+ Shinigami-Hollow Hybrid), kneel to the ground, BY LOOKING at him.

A guy who has 2x+ the reiatsu of an average captain. The guy who caught Bankai Ichigo's blitz attack with A SINGLE finger, then, WITHOUT trying, cut him in half.

Not to mention the 90s Kidou without incantation that brought down a Captain for a good while.

I think Aizen, Gin, Tousen, the Top 3 (you can see Stark's foot behind Orihime in the page where he drops her off), and Wonderweiss will be just fine.

If Aizen means to go after Karakura now, they're fucked.

not all the big dogs have seen aizen's shikai. only the vice capts have seen it. so any capts that come may have a chance, but any vice capts will be fucked.
 
Ryuuken alone might be able to give him a good fight. We don't know the extent of his powers, same holds true the abilities of those on Earth like the Vizards, Isshin, Ryuuken, etc ... Just because someone is under his hallucinations does not mean that they'd go down without a fight either.
 
Aizen isnt even going, he is gonna "destroy" the town and tell Orihime, to try and save it if she wants, she will try and she wont be fixing the town but awakening the _____(forgot name, makes the arrancar)
 
i dont think aizen's shikai is anywhere near that powerful

it only produces a temporary image of aizen himself for use in a battle, and even unohana and others also can probably figure out its an illusion. especially since they all understand thats what his ability does, they'll be on the lookout even more.

but i dont want captains defending karakura town, just vizards, ryuuken, isshin, urahara & his team.

It's complete hypnosis, he makes you see what he wants you to see. This works just as well on Captains as it does VCs.

Note: Aizen making himself look frozen in Hitsugaya's bankai so he lets down his guard, then appears at his side and one shots him.

Its perfect hypnosis, even if you know its hypnosis its still as effective, Aizen can produce what he wants for how long he wants , I believe the pimp man himself said that he can make a dragonfly seem like a dragon and heaven as hell and vice versa
 
I don't think Aizens Shikai is anywhere near that powerful, either.

But for a different reason. He can make people see whatever he wants them to see whenever he releases, but you'll have a hard time covincing me that he's capable of doing this across interdimensional planes of existence to an entire army (at least some of whom probably have'nt seen him release) of shinigami whilst simulataneously fighting off anyone in Karakura Town and in the process of destroying the place.

I think it only works when his zanpakuto is within a ceratin range of the people it is hypnotising. Otherwise, he could have conquered Soul Society by now with the greatest ease.

Meh. It might just be Inoue that's been hypnotised, anyway, and Aizen is just letting her think he's destroying her home.
