The show is very enjoyable. But it's just too bad that the animation sucks most of the time. Show like this need overthetop animation to match the crazy story

I like the animation(when they're actually being serious). Maybe if they had the ranking of kings animators it would've been awesome.

With Ousama ranking animation, it would legit be one of the best sport anime. People wouldn't care if the story is realistic or not.

But more seriously, if on average the animation was like in episode 1, it would have been fantastic.

It's a shame because the manga art is really good and in the last few episodes, the anime doesn't do it justice for me.
But even with that, it remains a very enjoyable show.

I personally prefer the Barou and Isagi rivalry duo. It's insane.

It's nice to see the king get put in his place.

The few moments it switches to CG is almost distracting. But there are definitely some scenes where the 2D looks bad.

Rin's my fave too.
I thought he'd be your typical arrogant brat who only opposes the mc and even though Rin may be somewhat arrogant he feels geniune in a lot of ways. He truly admitted having lost to Isagi, acknowledged him and didn't whine about it.

I saw this one before. It has the red lightnings I needed but the "Feed Me More." translation doesn't hit as hard as "Let me devour even more."

And I want the Isage panel cropped out so it's just Barou alone. But thanks for the pic though mate ^^

The OG is the OG for a reason

Great last episode though, probably my favorite in awhile, and the 4v4 in general was really good. Wish the animation was better for sure but the soundtracks are fireee

This series would be 3 times better if they actually... Animated something.

The series is good, it's not super deep or anything but it's hype and has likeable characters even tho some of them are the definition of one repeated gimmick, sadly it does not reach its full potential because the games are barely animated, it does not help that I just binged Kuroko no Basket and the animation is like night and day haha.
