A reoccuring theme!!!

Well as I have been reading the manga several things have been going through my mind.

In part 1 all the fights were based on skill rather then power. In part 2 everything is all based on each characters ultimate move and I am sadly disapointed in the whole thing. All be it that Part1 did have people useing their ulitmate jutsus but it was no where near the point of Part2. Everytime a character useing their most powerfull jutsu they instantly turn to shit or a subversion of what they were. Let me put it in other terms.

1. J-man: Goes Hermit mode and looks like he will win but gets owned hard core. (It does sadden me to think that).

2. Sasuke: Uses that lightning bolt attack and it fails horibly. (Who didn't see that comming)

3. Itachi: Uses that ghost soilder type thing and fail as he gets to the finish line. (A huge litdown from all the hype he had)

4. Kakashi: Uses MS and ends up only doing minor damage to the enemy while putting himself in the hospital.

5. Deidara: Ends up blowing himself up as well as a couple sq miles of land and doesn't even kill his enemy.

6. Gaara: Goes 1tail and then looses to Naruto while doing almost no damage to Naruto after going 1tail.

7. Lee: Went gates against Gaara but couldn't seal away the win. (This one saddens me as well).


In those 7 examples I have shown, everytime a character goes final then they end up losing. Final moves are moves that are supposed to win it and not as a desperate hope to win. Kishi in my opinion just makes characters look bad by doing this and should stop doing it and just have characters taken out because of skill not because of this BS.

Well it takes skill to avoid being killed by those super jutsu which is what happened in most of the examples you given.
 
Yeah. In Part I, Neji lost because of Naruto's skill at being the most unpredictable ninja. Sasuke won because he was superior to Naruto in skill and power (Naruto's lack in wanting to kill him may have played a partial role). Sarutobi and Yondaime saved Konoha with the Death God. But include Pein winning because of his secret which seems to be his greatest asset with your list, and I can see that Part II shows Dragonball's heavy influence on Kishimoto more...
 
That's very true, but I think that your forgetting that in part 1 there weren't half as many villains as now, let alone half as powerful.

Yeah, the fact that Part 1 had to do with genins and part 2 had to do with Kage-level ninja may have a little bit to do with the difference in battle tactics.

I'm sure going up against some kid with a kunai and Itachi with Susanoo or Six Paths of Pain may be just a tad different.

I not saying that the amount of villians is doing anything, but that everytime a final move is used the person doing it loses in a way or ends up dead.

Why even have a final move that the character can do if it will do practically nothing.
