Was it your intention to sound like your less than 13-years-old? or do you seriously believe Hidan is truly immortal?
My prediction skills > You :nod

clearly the plan did work as Hidan is no longer about to kill Asuma, even if he is still able to talk a head isn't going to be killing anyone.

It wasn't shikamaru's hypothesis that beheadding Hidan would work either, that was Asuma's

The point of mission = kill Hidan and Kakuzu. Hidan is immortal so the plan fails :nod

Or is it a victory to run away with a tail between your legs?

Its clearly more sensible to get out and inform Konoha than die but w/e

If the chapter says that Shikamaru's plan was to get him out of the circle to kill him then ok his plan might have failed.

If his aim is to break the link between Asuma and Hidan then his plan is succesful

The point of the mission=BRING AKATSUKIS BACK TO INTERROGATE (if possible)

What's better than a talking head?

Explain why they started the fight with such an attack. They were planing to interrogate dead Hidan? He was just sitting on the stairs, big bad ninja from Kanoha stabed him with giant kunais! Those bastards!

Asuma's plan: Tokyo Toshokan

Oh noes, not worked :kukuku

Well, in my opinion you still are wrong. Hidan is not immortal and the plan worked. He might not have been killed by getting his head cut off but he is clearly been reduced to a state of helplessness and without Kakuzu he already would have been bagged and on his way to Konoha.
And regarding his "immortality" the concept as such is already doomed to fail because in the end Hidan is just a henchman of the AL and one whose existence is clearly drawing to a close. I don't say he'll be exterminated this fight but he is doomed for sure. Right now he is at the top of my next to die list.

Luckily he was just immortal and not completely invincible -- toss that head into a jar and throw in to the bottom of the sea. You win :D

define inmortality because to me getting your head cut off and still be alive to tell the story = inmortality

It's kind of hard to say since it's defined differently in every fantasy story.
If you mean immortality = unkillable I can agree with you, because I believe Hidan can't be killed anymore however his body can be destroyed, but if you mean with immortality = never ending existence I can't agree since there has been no evidence so far that Hidan is such.

Duhh the head will be reattached to his body. Come on peeps. We have already seen Oro, Sasori and Deidara reassemble their bodies in some way. Hidan is out for a chapter or two.

Well the term immortal is very broad, it could mean you can't die from old age or you can't be 'killed' in any way

That said Hidan is shaping up to be immortal though

WOW! ONE OF YOUR PREDICTIONS CAME TRUE!

Honestly, I'm so happy for you.

Seriously, a good half the forum or more said the same thing as you, often before you did. We make dozens of predictions every week. If we all made threads bragging everytime we were right the forum would be full of nothing but.

Big freaking deal.

So he can't die in battle? Kinda like Tsunade then. Or oro. Are they both immortal?

Immortal means you cannot die, -no matter. Hidan is not immortal. There will be some way to kill him later on.

Tsunade and Oro can both die in battle. Oro admits he can die from Kyuubi Cannon, and Tsunade isn't even remotely invulnerable (she can heal all her wounds once; so you can kill her before she uses Genesis Rebirth, or you can let her use it and then kill her).

Hidan cannot die in battle as far as we know. We know this from several statements. He currently has no weaknesses.

No weaknesses? He still has to put his head back on...
(OH! Who else wants to see the headless battle next week?)

Seriously, so fucking what?

You said Hidan was immortal, you were right. Well done you. But it wasn't exactly rocket science, seeing as how we'd seen him get his organs grinded with giant knives a couple of chapters back.

Anyway, the tiny little prediction you're gloating about wasn't even fucking right. "No plan can work against him"?
Wrong. He is now a talking head and can't do fuck all. If not for Kakuzu, he would be being used in a quick round of football, and then taken back to Konoha to be interrogated, and then stuck on a shelf somewhere.

So clearly, plans can work against him. Like the one we've just seen.

lol self-vindictive thread.
