    Finished it. Including 21st century boys. Overall probably one of my favourite manga of all time. The ending has a little thing in it that I didn't like (I'm reading the perfect editions and hear this was a recent addition..I'd have preferred it if was taken out). Overall still a masterpiece.

    I see that you have a Speed Racer avatar, which makes me wish to ask: is it not weird that Speed Racer, one of the most popualr Japanese animated series of all time, has never been rebooted (or, if it has been, the reboots were not as popular as the original)? Or is that a good thing, so that it does not become like Scooby Doo, which has had countless reincarnations across the decades?

    I wish it would get a reboot for nostalgia reasons. I loved Speed Racer as a child. But i'm not sure if there would be much demand for it. Also I would want it to be done right, as some remakes like the Thundercats reboot wasn't done justice imo.

    Were you a speed racer fan?

    I may have seen some episodes of the series, but I am not very familiar with it, otherwise.

    I actually think that the 2011 reboot of Thundercats was excellent, but I was very displeased when it ended after only one season with no resolution to its story; do you know why it was canceled?

    I'm not sure why it was cancelled. I didn't really give it a fair chance. I just really enjoyed the old style of animation that the original Thundercats had, and the look of the newer one looked much different. I might need to revisit it and give it another shot. I shouldn't have said it wasn't done justice without actually having watched it more than an episode.

    And I think that newer animation style is here to stay so I might as well get used to it.

    it was hard to choose though. i think gura is great (the strongest), yami is interesting, gomu really versatile, kizaru's unbeatable, croc's a sentimental favorite...

    Yeah I was here since the beginning. But I just found my account again recently. My last post was 2007 before I found it again last year. lol I see you also don't have a ton of posts for being such a long time member.

    i was here mostly between 2006-2010. didn't really post but i did submit essays to competitions/contests, followed the spoiler threads to share fresh stuff on lj etc. then it was a decade of life>internet. now i'm back.
