  • Hi Galo, I'm very interested in Elder Scrolls lore and I noticed you're an expert in this field. I just want to ask you a few questions.
    1. Is Sotha Sil actually dead? I know we found his corpse in Morrowind but he has ascended to godhood so I hope he can still comeback like Dagoth Ur :blobsad
    2. Are there any other Amaranths besides Anu and Tosh Raka?
    3. Is a Kalpic cycle limited to Mundus or the Aurbis as a whole?

Sotha Sil is dead. Kagrenac's Tools not only removed his power source, but also his divinity. He did foresee this though in all possible futures, and makes preparations for his demise so Clockwork City can continue after he's gone. I can't recall if he survives in C0DA or not.

There are other Amaranths, such as the Dreamers of Yokuda, Atmora & Aldmeris...

...The Hist originate from another Dream as well. There's potentially an infinite number of Amaranths, although we only know a few.

The Kalpic Cycle is IIRC limited to Mundus, but given certain concepts eminate from Mundus then it'll possibly have an effect on the rest of the Aurbis too.

    Thank you so much!!!
Sotha Sil is my fav character, too bad he died :umasob
I'm trying to understand the powers of an Amberite and I noticed you know a lot. Can you explain better how it works? what style of magic do they use? how can they manipulate shadows (universes) to create things like the horse? there are many aspects of their powers that I don't understand.

From what I recall, all of Shadow are reflections of Amber (think of the Analogy of the Cave, although Amber is actually the first Shadow) set by the Pattern. As there are infinite Shadows, by moving ahaping Shadow as you travel through it, via sheer probability you'll find what you're looking for.

Yes I understand that part of their powers, what I don't understand is everything else. How does the magic they use work? how does their ability to manipulate reality work and what are its limits? I know the default is amber, but what else does it do? how can it be used?

Another thing that bothers me is the fact that before amber they could transform into anything and use it to survive chaos, does that mean they can change the dna itself to give themselves powers?
    what is your favorite cartoon?
Do you plan to blog about feats of that cartoon?

My favourite (non-anime) cartoon is Wakfu. I did a bunch of feats and calcs for it a few years back, but unfortunately, the site the images were hosted on crashed.
In episode 2 of TTGL, the moment when Ganzar lands, what magnitude Earthquake would it be?
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
Probably quite considerable. I've never actually thought about it. From the looks of the damage it does to Giha village, the one that buried Simon's parents would be 7 or 8. While the one we see shake Giha Village in the first episode looks mag 6.

Is there anyway to find out its exact magnitude?

Sorry if I get into the conversation, but a friend had said that this feat was between city to mountain level, although I did not pass the calculation
although that cliff should not be that big, since Gurren and Enki were the same size and those wicks were 10 meters or so

To me, the feat doesn’t seem like Mountain level, or even City level. But I was just wondering what it’s power is

Just ny eyeballing it it looks in the kilotons at least. I may calc it someday, but it might take weeks or even months.
I’m just wondering if you could possibly calc this feat from Steven universe

Energy is in the teratons, speed is low FTL.

FYI later Samurai not only had armies that used guns but some of their most elite ranks had armor just as heavy as European knights. So Samurai would honestly be almost tied to knights at their peak unless you define knights as anyone with the rank.
if you don't mind answering a tards question what durability yields being able to tank jumping off a skyscraper and landing face first?

^ thought so adds up with his general durability though he was mangled after the fact

The terminal velocity of an ant (6.4 km/h) is going to differ a lot from the terminal velocity of a human (about 200 km/h)- next, divide an animal’s length, breadth, and height each by ten; its weight is reduced to a thousandth, but its surface only to a hundredth. So the resistance to falling in the case of the small animal is relatively ten times greater than the driving force."...

So, the smaller you are, the greater damage you "tank" from falling! :catsplosion
If only some rain would fall on the houses and the boulevarde, and the sidewalk bagatales, it's like a dream.
