  • I was going through the TTGL novel, it turns out that the Dai-Gunzan measures the same as a mountain (I don't have the screenshot now but it was about page 290).
The minimum height of a mountain is 300 meters.
    (https://www.nationalgeographic.com/...fy a mountain,more above its surrounding area.)
What is relevant here is that on the same page of the novel it says that the Dai-Gunzan is 10 times as tall as Gurren Lagann.
That would tell us that Gurren Lagann is at least 30 meters tall?
I understand that the Spiral Power is extracted from the spiral galaxies, as stated in the novel and the movie script.
So if a character destroys that spiral galaxy, the Spiral would stop generating Spiral Power?
Or just this spiral galaxy would be another way to gain power for the Spirals and it would change almost nothing if this galaxy is destroyed?

You'd have to take out every spiral galaxy in the Multiverse for that to work (even then the Super Spiral Space seems to draw it from itself).
Yo, you post in my Adventure time thread that you could compile the feats and post it later. Do you have a blogpost or sth that I can look at. Thank you
Sup. There's a pretty impressive feat in episode 19 of TTGL, where Simon reflects all beams from the Mugann via his Giga Drill Maximum. I counted 47 Mugann in the scene where they swarm Gurren Lagann, and the yield of a single Mugann should equal 1/47th of the full yield of the explosion that was caused by the reflection of their beams

I might have a look back at that sometime (though no promises I'm afraid), thank you.
Yo, I found something on Work Soul that would be really helpful for size calculations. It's on page 81 and gives official size comparisons that should change a lot of the final results of many calculation blogs. An example would be Arc Gurren Lagann's size; with Arc Gurren being five kilometers tall, Arc Gurren Lagann wouldn't even be 10km tall.

I'll look back into the missile calc sometime in the future, plus I think most versions say Arc Gurren Lagann is around 5km tall.
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
That's for Arc Gurren's length. I don't think there's any stated height for Arc Gurren Lagann besides the ridiculous one in Work Soul that's contradicted by the Arc Gurren and Arc Gurren Lagann comparison shown several pages before
Is there an energy calc of Enraged Simon with Dai-Gurren (from Episode 8)?

IIRC Taccocat made one for when they pose and the volcano erupts behind them which came out in the megatons.
What puts the Generic Gunmen at multi-city block tier?

Are there any calculations for Gozuu breaking through Giha's ceiling?
    REDOX12a
    REDOX12a
In fact, I had made a calc of it in the past.
Gozu, a random mecha from TTGL, falls through the roof of Giha village.
    ()
Villages in Gurren Lagann are at 1km below ground.
    ()
Giha is a village that was expanding for generations until the time Simon left the village, so Giha can be considered equal to these 1km or even more subway villages.
The hole seems to have a diameter similar to the height of Gozu, which is 17 meters.
    ()
I will use the volume of the cylinder for the crater.
Passing everything to cm and using the formula calculator, it gives us a result of 226,980,069,221.86 cm3. (Cylinder)
The fragmentation of the rock is 8 J/cc.
    E = 226,980,069,221.86 * 8 = 1,815,840,553,774.88 Joules, or 433.9963082641987 Tons of TNT (Multi-City Block).
This would scale Lagann (Ep1) as he was able to completely destroy it with his drill.
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
This also scales to Yoko, Nia and the Four Heavenly Kings, so this calc is incredibly helpful. Thank you!
Hey do you know where I can read the final fantasy memory of heroes novel online?
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
I don't know sorry. I bought my copy off the Book Depository.
Are there any explicit statements of Messenger Nia being emotionless? It might've said in the novel, but I forgot
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
Was she ever stated to be given the same power as Antispiral when becoming Messenger Nia?
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
I don't recall any statements off the top of my head. She has some of the powers of the Anti-Spiral but not all of them (she has quantum teleportation, energy blasts, levitation, showing projections of things that are happening and more)
What is the explanation for Akko and Diana being Multiversal? And how many universes are they into multiversal?
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
End of series Akko and Diana with the belief energy of everyone on Earth had enough power to resurrect Yggdrasil, who's branches connects all the stars in the sky and whose power warps space and dimensions so as to create places like the Forest of Arcturus. They're only low into multiversal based off current universal (only about 4 or 5 or so so far), but they could be higher depending on how far Yggdrasil spans.
tell me please, what was the approximate speed of STTGL when he materialized the giga drill and flew to the anti-spiral? I understand that it is higher than the speed of light, but I am very interested in at least approximate calculations
Would it be okay to get to use the film draft script provided by "Work Soul"?
It is supposed to be the draft of several that were made of the movie and it is not even the final result, besides several things changed that do not even happen in the movie, like the STTGL is not even in the movie.
Well, I wouldn't see any reason to use it, although the fact of being very descriptive with things that happen gives to talk about if it can be used or not (like TTGL being the materialization of the GL of the multiverse and others that are separated from the dialogues).
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
It should be alright, as it's the compressed version of the scripts of episodes 17 to 27, and it's contents are also referenced in the novels and the manga (the Visaka appears in the novels and the Nanda appears in the novels and the manga).
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
I've seen some ideas from the first draft actually happen. In the first draft, Nia and Viral are supposed to have like a fist fight, and it happened in the manga.
Anyways, I think the first draft is okay to use if the ideas were actually executed or if there's an in-depth explanation that isn't contradicted by what is presented to us in the final product
What is the Super Spiral self? In the scan of Simon integrating the multiverse, it says his Super Spiral self, did it
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
Sorry for the late reply. The Super Spiral Self seems to be connected with the Super Spiral Space, and how he was able to absorb all the parallel versions of himself into one (and let them go later).
So, I was reading on the interview of the first episode, and I found something that I think may be able to determine the mass of the regular Gunmen. Imaishi in this interview stated that he was creating a feeling of fighting a 3-story building, and in some cuts, it was about 10-stories, which could be used as a high end, but 3-story seems more consistent. So, if the mass can be found, then, we can find the strength of Yoko's Superconducting Rifle, and by extension, Yoko's own strength, and by further extension, everyone who scales to her base self, like base, messenger and irregular Nia, Adiane, base part 3 and 4 Simon and the rest of the divine generals. I searched up the mass of a 3-story building, and found that a 3-story home is typically 158kg per square foot
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
Regardless, Imaishi explicitly wanted to convey the feeling of fighting a 3-story building, and there are mass values online which show the average mass of a 3-story home, which is 158kg per square foot. So, all that's left to do is find the dimensions of Gozu's main body and limbs, and we can use that to find a good assumption of the Gunmens' mass

    This maybe can help

I already sent Galo a pic of one of the Gunmen next to Lagann, in Basic Drill, for comparison
That respect thread on Nia in space battles doesn't really do her full justice, there's a lot that was unsaid. Because of the novel and the statements in the anime saying that her body stores information, she has the best regeneration out of any TTGL character. While everyone is capable regenerating via their thoughts, Nia regenerates via something much more fundamental which is information, which is corroborated by the fact that she is capable of manipulating memories, and even creating false information to regenerate. She is even capable of resisting existence erasure for a full week when being held captive by Antispiral, and even after Antispiral died, and that was all because of her regenerative ability.
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
Nia is oddly incredibly OP and I don't know if this was the writers' intention or not, she isn't even the MC and they managed to write a beast of a fighter relative to the other characters, and I honest to God think that she might just be the hardest to kill in TTGL
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
I think I did mention some of this in the respect thread (she resisted the Anti-Spiral breaking down her information and she had enough power to create a Super Spiral Space), though SB only has a limited amount you can post (about 10 pictures and 5 pieces of media). I hope to update her post in time, though there's a few more things I have to look over first.
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
    Oh, I understand, thank you!
Hey dude you remember who I am? We haven't talked nor interacted in eons. How have you been, TTGL?
Are there any calcs for the regular Mugann?
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
So far just the mass-energy for them exploding.
Can you calc the mass of the regular Gunmen?
    xela tabs
    xela tabs
    I will try.
If each gunmen is 15 meters long and they are made of steel, and the steel has a density of 7830 kg/m3
So the average gunman should be:
    26426250kg
    26000 tons(sorry if i mide a mistake)
I was thinking, wouldn’t Satsuki and Ryuko be more powerful than Simon? Satsuki’s Junketsu created a reality beyond the Kill la Kill timeline, the timeline being 11 dimensional, because of the Triggerverse’s time dimension being 11 dimensional, rather than 4 dimensional; so then the reality Junketsu created would be a 12 dimensional realm.
    xela tabs
    xela tabs
The problem is that, although it was said that it exists between the membranes of the 10th and 11th dimension, then the characters literally crossed space-time to reach the anti-spiral dimension (and space-time is 11-dimensional)
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
Crossing space-time doesn't mean transcending it, it's just moving along it. Antispiral's Universe is still 11 dimensional cuz the anime says so, simple as that

I found something interesting in Gurren Lagann
In the tengen toppa gurren lagann wiki, it says in simon's abilities, that simon from the drama cd, created the tengen toppa gurren lagann manga, but then the simon from the story (simon avant) caught the mangaka in a drill.
I don't know what this means
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
As in is it a meta feat? If the manga he wrote is connected to Gainax and the creators (in-universe) it might, but it could also be like Bilbo writing The Hobbit in Lord of the Rings. I'd have to actually see the panels to know. :hm
    xela tabs
    xela tabs
I don't have it, the one who wrote it has it (and I don't know who it is) I asked several people, from bluudy to others from other wikis (including the superpowers wiki) and many of them tell me:
I don't know or (in superpowers) someone told me it would be 4th wall breaching.
I interpret that it is actually a simon that was written by another simon and that the simon in that story escapes from the simon who put it there.
i read well, they say that simon from the story became a mangaka and he created tengen toppa gurren lagann, but then they say that the simon from the story, the simon avant, caught the mangaka in his drill (possibly simon since he became a manga artist)the problem is,that simon avant is not the protagonist.
Hi, I don't know if this is going to affect some of your calculations on TTGL, but according to the novel of this one, Gozu is ten times the size of an adult (1.707m x 10 = 17.07m).
Also Gunzar is stated to be larger than the two of them and Gurren Lagann should have a larger size. Just like Dai-Gunzan is said to be ten times the size of Gurren Lagann.

Thanks. If I ever return to calcing again I'll take this into account. Average height of a human adult is 1.7m, so that's around 17m tall.
Can the yield of the feat Yoko's Superconducting Rifle pulled off, be found by using the mass of the Gunmen and the speed it's moving?
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
In vol. 3 I found out that Yoko was capable of defeating a Grapearl. Are there any mass values for them? (I think the mass for Gurren Lagann would also be fine, as they are similar in structure)
    Galo de Lion
    Galo de Lion
As in a Grapearl, or one of the rogue gunmen on the island? :thonk

I had a bit of a look at Basic Drill, but I couldn't find any gunman masses I'm afraid. The only one I'm aware of is Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren/Cathedral Terra weighing about as much as the Moon.
    BluudyManikin777
    BluudyManikin777
Yes, a Grapearl, that's what it says in the light novel
