Hey, do you know me? Do I know you? Apparently we were both from NarutoBase :oldshrug
what do you think of what's going on with American's banks
and China's involvement in the KSA-Iran deal... :ahmm

It's a part of the free market cycle, the week get weeded out and the strong survive. Bailouts are a big no, I think the $250,000 limit is a big enough limit for the average investor. Although, governments force you to keep the bulk of your money in the banking system, so should they be on the hook for all of it:hm

Either way, when you cause inflation (sanctioning the world's largest commodity producer) and are forced to raise interest rates, it is going to have major consequences for the smaller banks.

As for China, it's building its profile and trying to bring some stability and deescalation in tbe region. It's obviously for China's benefit and not a benign gesture, but less fighting is always better. Bad for Uncle Sam, but good for most people.
    what happened... :gglife

I can understand if you got banned for your Minato hate tho... :gglife

I don't know where you-all know him from, but at least with cafe posting, he did as well as anyone can do having the (unwanted) opinions he did and you know that because he wasn't banned by the mods and everyone else with his opinions gets banned by the mods. I didn't get banned by the mods but I also neutered myself and made my takes as non-threatening and self-deprecating as possible (and to hear one of the mods tell it he still got people wanting me banned).

There's no other way to maneuver it and he did as well as anyone could, and it's no wonder he got tired of it. /kanyeshrug
hello dergeist, what is the most spoken language in india after hindi?
    dergeist
    dergeist
Bengali followed by Marathi. I think they're pretty close in number of speakers (the difference is maybe 6 million).

May I ask you why you are so knowledgeable on India?

I look at countries and future economic potential, pros, cons etc. India happens to be one of the potential future major powers (economic and military) of the future. Then you had Brexit and one of the touted benefits of it was possibly reconnecting with the former empire nations (now the commonwealth). India was the crown of the former empire, so that went in it's favour (reading wise). I also know quite a bit about several of its neighbours.

The coming weeks will expose fractures in the NATO alliance. Britain, for example, woke up this morning to learn that the once mighty pound Sterling, which once had twice the value of the US dollar, is now worth less than the dollar. That means that the Brits will be paying more for products they import from the United States.

The US produces almost all of its own natural gas, and like other resources, the majority of imports are fulfilled by Canada or another country in the Western Hemisphere.

While there might be short-term hiccups due to instability in the Old World, the US and Canada collectively have the largest capability of being resource independent. The fact that we trade with anyone outside of our immediate neighbors is about convenience more than necessity.

No doubt Canada has potential, but when the tar sands pipeline was shut down due to a party it isn't as capable.

The other major issue is rising interest rates and debt marurity for a lot of fossil fuel producers. I feel many may merge or go bankrupt. The latter will create added pressure.
dergeist, sorry for being rude to you before. We probably had disagreements regarding politics etc, and there is alot of stuff i am restricted and cant do.

but i think you are a good lad, and we have common ground despite our differences.

anyway, please accept my apology for being a jerk to you in the past.

No problem, it's water under the bridge. I apologise for being a bit of a prick to you.

I understand your situation, hopefully we can engage in frutiful discussions in the future.

It's forcing prices for everything to go up, and massively at that. The Conservatives could cut fuel duties and reduce the price of fuel by 40%, but they won't do that.

The first happened on 12 march and seems just a generic protest against Draghi.
Can't find news articles on it except stuff on italian Twitter, probably it was insignificant.

The second happened a week ago and it wasn't about cost of living lol
It was taxi people protesting against the 'ddl Concorrenza' ('law proposal on Competition' from Draghi, he wants to liberalize some sectors and one of these is the taxi sector that in Italy - from old laws regulating it - is not open to free competition from services like Uber).
In that video you can see a sign with "fuck you uber".

So these fuckers are protesting because they don't want their little "cartel" to be open to competition and thus improve their services (that are notoriously shit, no one in Italy like taxi drivers... except taxi drivers themselves lol).

Those two tweets are literally fake news (from Russian trolls seeing the flag on their profile) :catsleep
