Why not hold religion up to the same burden of proof that we hold everything else up to in this world of ours?

Probably because it wouldn't stand the criticism, but, hey... that'd kinda be the point.

How can truth contradict truth? If your religion is, indeed, true, then why do we not hold it to the same burden of proof that we apply to such mundane things as what temperature that a substance boils at? Is it because you fear the test? Can you not provide positive proof? Then why have faith in it?

So many religions out there, yet you don't want to submit yours to the burden of proof to prove that yours is above the rest, and the One True Religion? Tisk tisk, not very faithful, now are we?
