There are two broad genres of blog.

The first has an inward focus. This would be your Livejournals, Xangas, and NF.


The second genre has an outward focus. These would be your Instapundit, Boingboing, and the Agitator.

I find the second genre much more interesting. The first is just psychological masturbation.
