As an avid reader of shounen manga, I sometimes get the temptation to make fights in my story over the top. Since I wan't my story to maintain a level of maturity and emotional weight, I try to avoid this temptation except come time I can turn said super battle into super mindfuck. Since I like the story best when it's low key and gory, the temptation really puts a damper on my style. I should probably stop lurking the OBD. I get some crazy nasty influence there.
