It has been some time since I posted a poem, here, so here is one that I completed, recently:

Spoiler: Rock Me, Asmodeus

Rock Me, Asmodeus

By DemonDragonJ

Rock and roll
Is the devil’s word;
That’s not a fact,
It’s just what I’ve heard!

People say
It’s corrupted out youth;
They act so smug
Like they know the truth!

But I know the truth,
It is not so bad;
‘Cause rock is the best
That I’ve ever had!

Rock me, Asmodeus!
All night long!
Shock me, Asmodeus!
Sing your song!
It feels so right
That it can’t be wrong;
Rock me, Asmodeus!
All night long!

I went to the store
And bought my first disc;
Aerosmith, Zeppelin,
Leppard, and Kiss!

I played it all night,
The music was hot;
It was really alright,
And that’s what I thought!

It showed me new sights
That I never had seen;
It took me new places
Where I never had been!

Rock me, Asmodeus!
All night long!
Shock me, Asmodeus!
Sing your song!
It feels so right
That it can’t be wrong;
Rock me, Asmodeus!
All night long!

When the music was finished,
I was simply amazed;
I lay on my bed,
Astounded and dazed.

The devil was real,
But he was not so bad;
He just liked to party,
And, for that, I was glad!

We rocked and we rolled,
Playing our tunes;
We proudly raised hell
From Earth to the moon!

Rock me, Asmodeus!
All night long!
Shock me, Asmodeus!
Sing your song!
It feels so right
That it can’t be wrong;
Rock me, Asmodeus!
All night long!
This poem is a celebration of rock and roll music and the rockstar lifestyle. Its name is a reference to the song "Rock Me, Amadeus" by Falco, but it is an original composition of mine, not a parody of that song.
