My folks were always putting him down (down, down)
They said he came from the wrong side of town
(whatcha mean when ya say that he came from the wrong side of town?)
They told me he was bad
But I knew he was sad
That's why I fell for (the leader of the pack)

"Sakura, I've been gone from this village for a long time...and to a lot of the shinobi here I'm still a traitor....I honestly think you and Naruto are about the only ones who don't think I'll burn down their houses while they're sleeping."

"Of course you wouldn't!...You'd burn down Naruto's while he was awake!" She joked, then covered her mouth in horror. Here he was actually opening up to her and she was joking!!

Sasuke laughed a bit. Sakura stared again. Smiling...laughing...this wasn't normal!

"Anyway....I wanted to...appologize. I wasn't being fair earlier. I'm sorry."

Sakura couldn't believe her ears. Sasuke was appologizing to her!

"No, it's okay, Sasuke-kun. I'm sorry I was being a pest and bothered you."

"Honestly Sakura? I was glad to see you."

THUMP!

Sasuke looked over and saw Sakura lying on the ground, unconscious with a big smile on her face and her hands over her mouth. He shook his head in amusement and picked her up, carrying her all the way back to her home.

When the door opened he was suprised to see a man standing there. Of course, Sakura had a father, and a mother too, but her parents were never really known about...or seen...so...this had to be her dad.

The man looked down at Sasuke, his eyes narrowed in suspicion.

"She fainted when we were walking so I thought I'd take her home" Sasuke said, hoping to explain before something was misinterpretted.

The man took his daughter inside and shut the door behind him, leaving Sasuke outside without a word.

Sasuke sighed and headed back for home.

Sakura awoke soon after, looking around frantically for Sasuke but finding only her own bedroom. She sighed and looked down. She'd just made a total idiot out of herself. Fainting?! At her age! Still...what he'd said...

"Honestly Sakura? I was glad to see you."

She giggled, her heart fluttering as she played the scene over in her head again and again before her dad walked in, frowning.

"Sakura, I don't want you hanging with that Uchiha boy anymore. It was okay when you were kids, at least then we didn't know he was capable of all that, but now..."

"But dad!" She cried, standing up with wide eyes.

"No buts, young lady. He's a murderer just like his older brother-he even looks like him now! I won't allow any daughter of mine to associate with his kind!" And that was the end of it, as her father turned and left her room, shutting the door behind him.

Sakura buried her face in her pillow, unable to fight back the tears that were pouring from her eyes. For the first time in her life Sasuke was actually interested in her and now she was forbidden from seeing him! She beat the pillow in anger then fell back on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. What was she gonna do now?

She fidgeted a moment, something poking at her back. She reached beneath herself and pulled out a scroll that she couldn't identify. She hadn't had it with her before....where'd it come from. It had her name scrawled on the side. She opened it and giggled like crazy again, hugging the paper to her chest.

Sakura,
I had a fun time walking with you, even if you did faint on me. Just like old times, huh? Anyways, I was hoping you'd do ME the honor of joining me for dinner sometime tomorrow. I'll meet you at the bridge.
Can't Wait,
Sasuke
