Umm...sorry but I'm going to have to defend Deidara here. (And I didn't come looking for your blog I just noticed it when I was going to check mine on the main page of blogs).

Anyway...

Saying he's "hardly a ninja" doesn't even make sense. No one in the Naruto world is very 'ninja-like' by real ninja standards. Being a shinobi in the Naruto world is about having cool techniques that you can use tactically to your advantage. Deidara does this very well.

And by bashing Deidara you are actually only bashing Gaara. It's like you're saying that Gaara got beat by someone who is weak. That's more of a bash to Gaara. So I don't know why you are acting like Deidara is pretty stupid.

Also, Deidara certainly didn't only just have explosives and hands on his mouths. He had a real brain and ability for strategy. His plan against Gaara rivaled the level of strategy we see in Shikamaru battles. Few other people in the series have intelligence like that. Deidara knew what he was doing.

Few ninja could stand up to his strategies. Sasuke just has some uber cheap ass Sharingan that's like an instant "You're fucked." button.

Meh, I don't have anything against you. And I don't dislike Gaara, he's pretty cool. But I will defend Deidara, that's all I'm saying. Deidara doesn't have anything personal against Gaara either, he was just doing his job. He didn't even want to be in Akatsuki remember.
