Currently, D.Gray-man is on a 5-week break. The next chapter (#130) should be out in a couple of weeks from now. The story is currently crazy. I'm writing this blog to just let a few more people know about it. So, let's get on...
Spoiler: What is D.Gray-man?
Spoiler: Setting (taken from Viz)
Set in a fictional 19th century England, D.Gray-man is the story of Allen Walker, a 15-year-old boy who roams the Earth in search of Innocence. Washed away to unknown parts of the world after The Great Flood, Innocence is the mysterious substance used to create weapons that obliterate demons known as akuma.
D.Gray-man is a manga series by Hoshino Katsura. There is an anime adaptation by studio TMS Entertainment which airs weekly on Tuesday evenings (TV Tokyo).

D.Gray-man's first chapter was released on May 31st 2004 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump.

D.Gray-man's first episode was aired on October 3rd 2006.

Both of them are still going strong.

D.Gray-Man is officially licensed by Viz since July 2005. Volume 1 was released on February 6th 2006. The first five volumes of D.Gray-man have been released in the US as of May 2007.
Spoiler: Why should I read D.Gray-man?
I don't know why you should but I guess I have to say something about why you should consider it.
The manga has a good plot and (at least) decent direction. It also holds a lot of potential within its characters' and storyline. There is bound to be at least one thing to love about D.Gray-man for most who read it and you'll definitely fall in love with a character at some point. I don't have the right to go into what makes a manga clich? and what not but I thoroughly recommend D.Gray-man. Truth be told, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for those who it may be suited for, D.Gray-man would be loved by you.

Nothing much more I can say other than give it a try and read it. If you can get through to the third volume then the chances of you not enjoying D.Gray-man are small, if not tiny.

The manga contains and produces a lot of mystery. There are quite a few WTF moments in it which are more than enough to keep a reader intrigued. The art of this manga is truly excellent and the character interaction is pretty nice, esp. between the story's villains. And it seems that the story can conclude in many different possible ways however, the story shouldn't be ending any time soon (even though a lot of people feel that is the case - weird).

Hmmm, seriously, take this manga and read it!
Spoiler: How/Where to get the chapters?
Visit the pimping project. Or ask me for them in my FC. Most other places require you to register and do stuff before you can access anything.

Also, discuss it here.

D.Gray-man has an anime too, though, let's leave that for another day, shall we?

And of course, the D.Gray-man FC.
I'll leave you with this masterpiece.

-err...ran out of image allowance...lol...

I hope you can give it a try. See you next time.
