Christianity

Christianity is the most common religion in most English speaking countries, and this is an English forum... and people talk about what they're familiar with... thus, Christianity takes more flak than other religions.

I agree with you that it takes more heat than other religons, the thing im wondering is why..but cause who we believe is some1 who people doubt that he existed

I'm atheist: I don't believe in any religions.

When I debate about religion, I typically debate against that which I'm most familiar with: Christianity. The fact that it is probably the most common religion in English speaking countries also means that the subject will come up more often.

To tell the truth, while I may debate about aspects of Christianity, or the validity of the bible, I don't really look down at the person, unless they hold views far enough away from my own that I wouldn't like them regardless of religion.

It's more of a discussion of my views than an attack.

I've been told that I'm immoral, that I cannot have morality, that I don't deserve to be a citizen and that I shouldn't go anywhere near a bible, because I only intend to blaspheme.

Have I gotten angry about these things? Well, the citizen thing did make me upset, but, the morality bits just showed the ignorance of the person.

The blasphemy bit just amused me.

What I'm getting at is this: take criticism in stride. If someone doesn't agree with your worldview, they will point it out - just as those that have told me that I will go to hell have done to me.

Why does religion deserve special protection? Are you as upset about attacks on your political organization?

Yes, but the reason the average christian cant bring people to god is I think its just the preachers in the media. honestly
