Recently, I just re-watched Lovely Complex, which is, IMO, one of the best anime I've seen in 2007, and one of my personal favorites of all time.

Plot: 6/10
Nothing much with regards to plot except that it's a love story about a boy and a girl having height complexes. LoveCom is your typical anime rom-com with ten-times more caffeine.

At one point, I got tired of seeing the same plot device being used over and over (knowing that Risa and Otani will get together in the end), but eventually I got over it and I was like, "Hey, it would suck if this anime ends early."

Characters: 10/10
If anything, me giving the characters a perfect ten goes to show how much I loved almost everyone in the series. Risa X Otani is probably the best anime duo I've seen in ages. I just can't enough to see both characters on screen for whatever reason - whether it's serious or both are doing a comical scene.

As for the side characters, they're not as stellar as the main leads, but I ended up liking them because of their own quirks and perks. And that does not include that trap, Seiko.

Voice acting is superb. The VAs manage to flesh out the characters quite well, and that's what the characters really good.

Art/Animation: 8/10
Animation amplifies comedy scenes and makes it funnier than how it was in the manga. Character designs are simple and really cute. No QUALITY moments.

Sound: 10/10
The OPs perk me up when I listen to them. The EDs move my feelings. I mean, everything about both OPs and EDs are great. Not just the accompanying animation sequence, but the songs itself are gems.

The BGMs are just as awesome. Just like the animation, there are times where a BGM really makes a certain scene really good.

And oh, Umibouzu's music is definitely included.

Total: 8.5/10
Not exactly ground-breaking when it comes to good anime romance standards, but LoveCom is definitely enjoyable to watch. Despite the score I gave it, I can find myself watching it again and again more than any other anime that I gave a higher score. :thumbs
